The doctrine which the Mormon leaders teach concerning blacks was clearly set forth in a letter written by the First Presidency in 1947: "From the days of the Prophet Joseph even until now, it has been the doctrine of the Church, never questioned by any of the Church leaders, that the Negroes are not entitled to the full blessings of the Gospel." (Letter from the First Presidency of the Mormon Church, July 17, 1947, as cited in Mormonism and the *****, by John J. Stewart, 1960, pages 46-47)

Bruce R. McConkie, who later served as an Apostle in the church, made this statement in 1958:

"Negroes in this life are denied the priesthood; under no circumstances can they hold this delegation of authority from the Almighty.... The gospel message of salvation is not carried affirmatively to them...

Do you think humans should or shouldn't have super-powers? It would be cool if we did but it also would be bad because then the bad guys would have super-powers.

Here on yahoo answers in the past I have read people who say that they have a "battle-cry" for Jesus and that they wanted to have a spiritual warfare in America, and this involved an agenda of preventing gay marriage, a pro-life agenda, bringing God back into the schools, etc. The conservative agenda.

So in the interest of building a database here on yahoo answers of questions and answers, I an agnostic not trying to convert anyone to my religion, ask this question of those reading it:

Does the religious right hear the "battle-cry" of those who wish to use the words of Jesus from the Bible for liberal positions, like helping the poor, or feeding the hungry, or a pro-choice agenda, and there are christian churches in America that marry people of the same gender, and they want prayer in school to be a private matter.

Does the religious right hear the battle cry of the religious left in America?

Jesus doesnt give up on anybody -thanks God and he cares about us unconditionally-i prayed and let him into my heart.
and being Jewishseeing the bible prophecies -really helped me too. Isaiah chapters 52 vs 13-53 vs 12 "He shall be exaulted, and made very high, but first he will be marred more than any man. Ane he will lay down his life as an atonement for sins."
its great to be Jewish and have the Messiah-most muslims reject Isaiah too and letting Jesus into theier heart as he commands for salvation-
"Behold i stand at the door and knock, if you let me in to forgive sins, i will come in and become your friend, amen Revelation 3 vs 19&20
so i prayed and got saved "Jesus im sorry for my sins, come in my heart and help me, be my friend, amen" now its a good thing and the bible makes great sense now too

I mean in all eternity of course.
I never knew the exact number, but the LDS seems to have calculated it for us.

An ever expanding Hell...http://utlm.org/newsletters/no70.htm#AN%20EVER-EXPANDING%20HELL

If 80 billion people will eventually live on earth, then it follows that the "sons of perdition" number 40 billion. The number could be even higher, however, because the figure of "80 billion" on earth does not include the millennium.
While Mormon apologists criticize others for believing in the idea of eternal punishment of the wicked, their church's own doctrine has already consigned 40,000,000,000 or more of God's own spirit children to eternal damnation.

I wonder where the Jehovahs Witnesses chosen 144,000 go in the Mormon sense of relaity?

In the dream, as they were choosing the correct price for the first barn, my friends, the buyer's son, and I were standing there, just as no one was looking, we kissed quickly. My friend heard it and after we walked away she asked me if I kissed him, then we were all riding ATV's on tyhe farm and soon walking through the mall, he kissed my again and said that there was no fireworks, but we still stayed bf/gf. What does that mean?

Do people have problems worshipping someone that doesn't look like them? Most non-white christians worship a blue-eyed Jesus, and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

And where did Mary Magdeline get blonde hair in the middle east? Was it all the Roman influence? I am so confused.

(intelligent answers only please, no ranting athiests... I too am athiest but this question has always bewildered me)
