Is salvation eternal? Does eternal mean forever? Why is it called "eternal life"? Some seem to teach that salvation is not eternal. If you are said to have been given eternal life, life that is forever and then at some point you do not have it any longer, how do they understand the meaning eternal, that it was forever? Seems like someone who offered something that was suppose to be forever but it was not would be a liar.

My husband and I are a younger couple who purchased a home in a prettty wealthy area. Most of my neighbors are caucasian. We've been in our home for 2 years and our neighbors don't seem to respect us. We are pretty quiet people but I have made several attempts to become friendly with people on the block but most of them won't even speak to us. They have allowed their children to destroy our property (mailbox, my car has been hit with several baseballs). They always have barbecues but we're never invited. I refuse to attempt to be friendly anymore but it seems as though they are trying to make us sell our home and I refuse to. I'm a cop and my husband is a firefighter. We have no kids and we keep our property in perfect shape yet they report simple things to our home association such as our mailbox having a dent eventhough their children made the dent. I just want to live in peace. What can I do?

I mean, I don't like boats & boating so I avoid questions in that section. I'm not going to be in that section and get mad talking about "stop telling me about boats", if that's what the section is for. You have people that stay in the religious section but get mad about people preaching to them. If you don't like it don't read it and stay out the section. Simple as that. It only makes sense.

At the time George P. Lee was called to be a General Authority in the Mormon Church, Mark E. Petersen was serving as one of the Twelve Apostles. Apostle Petersen, who died in 1984, held some very strong views concerning Indians and other dark-skinned races. In a speech given at the church's Brigham Young University, Apostle Petersen gave the following information concerning the doctrine of pre-existence and how it affected the various races:

"We cannot escape the conclusion that because of performance in our pre-existence some of us are born as Chinese, some as Japanese, some as Indians, some as Negroes, some as Americans, some as Latter-day Saints. These are rewards and punishments... Is it not reasonable to believe that less worthy spirits would come through less favored lineage? Does this not account in very large part for the various grades of color and degrees of intelligence we find in the earth?...

So this is something I have been wondering for some time and maybe someone out there knows. We all know how the armed forces practice don't ask and don't tell....and that if they do find out that you are gay and it wasn't even you to tell then you are still out...but if they were to start up the draft which I don't think that they will ever do, will people that are gay and transgendered still be required to fight?

like Muhammad(P) was standing 10 feet away, and you kinda can see his face. no one told it's him, but an aspiration (soul to soul language) telling you it's him. and i knew for sure it was him because later i search and read about his discription. also i asked another person who saw Muhammad(P) in her dream, and it was him .
is that a sign that whoever saw prophet Muhammad will be blessed?

I've been skimming through quite a few Q&A's and this appears to be a pretty common theme.

There are two Laws that govern Existence. Balance and Order. The simplest example I can think of is the eco-system, minus human intervention.

Humans are given something that nothing else in Creation has, Free Will. We are free to live within the Laws of Existence or we can ignore them and suffer the consequences.

So...when we willfully ignore these Laws, and get bitten on the butt for it, why is it God's fault?
