The idea of evidence is mandatory for strong true believe, and this is why our creator supported His messengers with miracles (like Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad PBUT). But even with very strong evidences people still reject the truth and those are the worse that God will through in hell for ever. Christians asked Jesus PBUH for a table to be send down from heavens, an Allah send it down to them but with a very strict condition that those who then disbelieve will face a painful punishment.
“Behold! the Disciples said: "O 'Isa the son of Maryam! can thy Lord send down to us a Table set (with viands) from heaven?" Said 'Isa: "Fear Allah, if ye have faith."
They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou has indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle."
Said 'Isa the son of Maryam: "O Allah our Lord! send us from heaven a Table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a Sign from Thee; and provide for our sustenance, for Thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)."
Allah said: "I will send it down unto you; but if any of you after that resisteth faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples."” The holy Quran 5:112-115
For Moses and Jesus PBUT their miracles were suitable for their people (magic and medicine) but limited in time for only those who saw and experienced them and this is very logical because both of them were send exclusively for the people for their time. But as Islam is meant to be final and global religion for every body every where its miracle was designed to be eternal and suitable for every body and every where. For the Arabs who were very eloquent in language it was unmatched miracle, but today for non Arab as science the main feature of the era the Quran is manifesting its miracle in this aspect (science). And for people of other interests people will find a miracle in the Quran suits them. Although the scientific miracles mentioned in the link are great and should be sufficient for every person of open mind but I my self think they just represent a minor example for the endless number of miracles of the Quran both that I know about or more those I yet have to learn.
