I suffer this same affliction.
I saw a bumper sticker that is perfect for folks like us.
"There's one in every crowd and they always find me."
Look at it from crazy girls point of view. You may be the only one that's nice to her. Or at least doesn't look at her like she is from Mars.

Maybe your boss thinks you are nice enough to be able to handle sitting next to the crazy girl. Or, worse, the crazy girl has a thing for you and requested to sit near you.

Because you are the most capable of dealing and interacting with all others- regardless of personality or mental status.

That is a good thing...It shows that you are flexible, tolerant and most capable. You can function well in the face of adversity.
