to church to eat dinner with their grandparents every wednesday evening. The girls attend the church regularly with their grandparents, I go when they ask me to, or when there is some kind of pageant or something. Its a potluck dinner, so I always make something to bring, and give a free will donation at the start of the meal. After dinner they do a contemporary service, I do not stay for this service, we live around the corner so the girls stay with their grandma and walk home afterwards. Do you think it is rude that I eat with the church and then do not stay for the service, as it goes against my beliefs. Would it be more rude if I ate, didn't donate and also didn;t stay for the service?

I'm sure all Christians reading this know you are supposed to be equally yoked, meaning anyone you are in any kind of dating relationship with needs to be a Christian too.

Well this girl isn't, and I am trying to invite her to church but she hasn't gone yet.

Should I just tell her my situation? Tell her that I can't ask her to be my girlfriend unless she becomes a Christian? Then I'm worried that she will just say she is or become a Christian for the wrong reason.

Meanwhile I really want her to be my girlfriend, and I know she likes me too. What should I do?

Reading through the Cultures and Groups makes me wonder how often people use stereotypes and judge people straight up. I'd like to know if you honestly look at individuality or race?

In this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhBqhtvsHqc7pRZnQvyg1.QezKIX?qid=20060803113206AADa0BV&cp=1&tp=2#all-answers

Many atheists agreed that a vocal atheist should know theology in order to argue against theism.

However in this question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjL8lJ2NCVlXtXdTKkJNc3_sy6IX?qid=20060803105703AA5gUS9

Many atheists argued that the Bible is not a trustworthy source for knowledge of history, science or morality.

If the Bible is not trustworthy in several distinct fields, why would theology be the exception? In other words, *if* God exists, then why wouldn't the Bible be just as inaccurate and incomplete about God as it is about history and science?

I work in a small, privately owned restaurant. The people who manage it consist of the owners (husband and wife), and two managers. One of the managers is obviously the favorite, and in their eyes, seems to qualify as family. Well, she is getting married in Sept., and the owners are having a surprise wedding shower for her. As far as I know, NONE of us waitresses, cooks dishwashers, etc. are invited to the actual wedding, but are expected to go to the shower. I think it's uber-tacky. Am I wrong?

truthiness is defined as "the quality by which a person claims to know something intuitively, instinctively, or "from the gut" without regard to evidence, logic, or intellectual examination."

If a vast cloud of trillions of ultra-dense neutron star particles (each the size of a sand grain) intersected the Earth at tremendous speed, wouldn't it just pass through everything, and instantly slice through our bodies, leaving us perforated?
We wouldn't even know what had happened!

I'll go first.
If someone I knew lost a limb but was prayed over at their church and their limb grew back (especially if it's without without medical treatment), I'd reject atheism. Basically because it would be proof that something happened though prayer that is otherwise impossible. It would be a genuine miracle.

Now it's your turn.

The human eye consists of around 20 sub-organs (eg. lens, retina, etc). If one of them is not in place, we would not be able to see properly. If one is not fully evolved, we cannot see properly either. So how come for millions of years until we developed eyes, we could survive without seeing?! Shouldn't we have been extinct due to "survival of the fittest"?

Also the cilia in the lungs consists of 10 proteins that allow it's motion. If one protein is not filling the "ring" making the cilia, our lungs would be full of dust and disease due to our cilia's infunctioning, then die out! So how did we pass these barriers to evolve?
