I absolutely believe in vampires. There are two main types -- blood-sucking, and psychic vampires. Blood-sucking are clearly the kind that you find in popular media. However, psychic vampires are people who are able to drain the energy of people around them to 'feed' themselves. Some consciously do this and some don't realize they do it. (Either way watch out!)
I believe in them because I use to be friends with a mortal, blood-sucking vampire. Also, I had a friend who had a scary experience with psychic vampires. She met a guy at a tattoo parlor and he showed a peculiar, and creep interest in her (she is Pagan and wears a pentacle necklace). He asked her if she practiced 'dark' magick, to which she said 'no', and he said that she should... of course she was totally creeped out and left. He asked her name, but she only gave him her first name.
That night, or a few nights later, she began seeing apparitions appearing in her dorm room. At first she would see ripples of energy in her room, and see red emanating from it like two eyes. One night she actually saw PEOPLE in her room, (astrally projecting themselves?), and I knew she had a vampire problem as soon as she told me about them.
She had slept for nearly two weeks when she shared this story with me. (She was afraid to go to sleep with them about!) She used a liquid smugde spray (white sage infused in water to purify a space) and sprinkle salt (holy) water around the perimeter of her room. They couldn't come in the room anymore, but they were still outside, and she could still see them.
Finally a friend of mind did a spell to banish them, and she came home from college for spring break shortly after. Fortunately, they vampires weren't able to follow her home, and didn't know her home location.
When she finally returned to school they didn't bother her anymore. I had given her a quartz crystal I had come across that I knew (when she told me the story) she needed to have. She still carries it around with her for protection.

there really was a count that drank the blood of his enemy's, he thought that by doing so he would become stronger.
so from this, people talked about vampires ever since.
there also was a count Dracula who was such a tyrant he butchered hundreds of his town folk, for fun. and from this the fabled count Dracula the vampire was born

If you look at folklore how does a myth start. surely it starts from some sort of fact in which case Vampires probably do exist.

Yes, I had a Hungarian mother-in-law. Even after 15 years, she was still nasty, mean, jealous, and controlling. I was glad to get rid of her when I dumped her boy. Overnight, I lost 320 lbs of ugly fat. (her and her son)
