Proof of Miracles? Atheists?
I asked this a few minutes ago, and it seemed most people said that they'd be more inclined to think they had a random hallucination. So, to get to the point, imagine this scenario: you and three friends all saw a statue of mary (to use richard dawkins' miracle of choice) wave at you, would you consider it a miracle?

(seeing as how it's impossible that 4 people share the same hallucination.) (oh, and richard dawkins is one the worlds most famous evolutionists.)

And would you mind stating your religion. (oh, on the side, I'm jewish.)

Please keep answers short (~40 lines).
Thanks

This is a serious question. If you don't believe in past lives, please don't bother ansewering.

When I met the man I am with now, I suddenly started to remember a lot about a previous past life I have had living in the 1920's/1930's. I have never been a hardcore believer in them, but I have so many explain memories. The only thing now, is that there are some pieces which I just can't seem to remember, they are blocked for some reason, probably because they were tramatic, but I feel like I need to remember them. How can I unlock these memories, without hyponosis or a pyschic?

It is believed that the 144,000 have been selected by God from the time of Jesus' apostles through to today

Then why are they still coming to my door. Their official membership currently stands at over 6.6 million. With those numbers it would seems that the ratio of getting in would be strongly against you.

Most atheists argue that the Bible is not a good source for information on history, science or even morality. (See here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060803105703AA5gUS9&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwIb5gFu0zQ5DOrRgxVuMrCnmBxd8yMLH2Eg--&msgr_status=)

If you can't trust the Bible for history, science or morality, which are all subject to some external verifications and cross checks, then how can you trust it on the topic of theology?

I love this quote.

Man is the only animal that laughs and weeps, for he is the only animal that is struck with the difference between what things are and what they ought to be. by William Hazlitt (1778 - 1830)

You think that your so called "science" can prove anything. You people actually believe that the world is round! I think you'll find the world is actually flat. Columbus never actually made it around the world did he?

Science.... Pah!!!

Maybe there are some things we just don't want to know!

Have you hear the phrase outside of Yahoo Answers?

Numerous questioners in Religion and Spirituality have pointed out sections of both the old testament, new testament which are not practised by many christians.

Jesus explicitly stated that Christians were held to old testament laws (Matthew 5:18-19).

How do can this hypocrisy be justified? How can it be ignored?

Adhere to the word of God or you will burn in hell with the unbelievers...

I'm sure their are many people who think they know but like myself know some one born again but that doesn't mean I understand their religion. I am sincere and would like to understand. I realize I’ll get some wacko answers but that is to be expected. Thank you for all who take the time to answer.
