Listen honey, just ignore them. They are stupid for stereotyping, and if they can't see it, then it shouldn't matter. Clothes don't make the person. They just feel the need to categorize, to organize, because they can't let themselves be free enough to realize that organization doesn't exist. They are narrow minded. You yourself have already answered the question. "So what?" Don't change yourself, just skate, and have fun.

There has been an explosion a black skater boys in the pass few years. Just like Serena Williams who brought another look to tennis that is exactly what you and the black kids are doing know a days. You don't have to have the shorts with all the chains around them or shop at journey's or american eagle to be a skateboarder. I think it's sexy as hell to see a fly @ss white boy in "ghetto" rags doing his thang on the skateboard. It brings diversity and it's more exciting. If the other white boys can't except your style then f^ck em' get you a black skater clique or just do you. If you keep following your passion success will come while the ones who said you couldn't do it is still stuck in the same place. Do ya thang

Wear whatever the hell YOU want when you skate. Skateboard whichever way YOU want to, (without running over people or on private property, etc of course). Some punk or loser with low self esteem tries to look 'cool' in front of his/her/their 'friends' by trying to dis on your style of clothes/skateboarding/what have you, ignore 'em, walk away, he/she isn't worth your time, they're just looking for attention.
I know, easier said than done, but try anyway.

hey dont listen to the haters. People naturally love to classify and group each other into set categories becauase if they dont, they get all confused and ****. it's just the way society is now and sometimes you just gotta roll with it.
Bottom line: just chill and be yourself. dont worry about the haters. dress how you want and play whatever sport you want.

to be honest.... jsut ignore the labels... i've been otu of school now for 4 years. and they aren't evne worth your time... once you leave school... people begin to realise.... that a person is jsut a person.... labels seem to drop and crowds begin to mingle and soon it jsut one big population.... so for hte time u have left in school... just tell ppl to "grow up" if they shun you fro doing what you like to do!!!
