I most certainly believe it, because I have experienced it, and continue to experience it every day. You must first realize that you are a sinner, with no possible help except through Jesus Christ. By being born again, the Bible means that you become a new creature (spritiually. You no longer have the desires to do wrong, but you will desire to do the things which the Bible teaches us to do. To be born of water, represents being washed clean in the blood of Jesus Christ. At that time, you are filled with God's Holy Spirit, and will continuously be led by Him in every thing that you do. He also will convict you when you do wrong; at which time you must ask for God's forgiveness. Baptism is simply a representation of what you have already done. Being emerced represents dying to your sins, and raising up out of the water represents the new lifestyle that you should be living thereafter. But do not be deceived by all the teaching concerning speaking in tongues. It is only necessary when God desires for it to be done. A person does not have to speak in tongues as evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. I was confused about this matter for years, until Jesus Christ personally told me that when if I ever had a need to speak in tongues, that He would give me the power to do so, when the time came. Many people have made nothing but a mockery of this divine gift. When the Bible speaks of people speaking in tongues, such as on the day fo Pentecost, God gave them the power to do so because it was necessary at the time. There were people there from all nations. And if God had not of given the twelve disciples the power to speak in the other languages, it would of been nothing but a place of mass confusion. This is what God told me. You can believe whatever you desire to believe. As far as the scriptures which tell us to go and sin no more, God realizes that we all are going to sin in one way or another. He does not expect us to live a perfect life. But He does expect us to make the attempt to not walk in or practice sin. Many times when you study the scriptures with an open mind, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you to understand it's meaning, He will do exactly that. And you may be surprized sometimes at what He reveals unto you. May God Bless you.

I am a Baptist and I believe baptism is an act of obedience not of salvation. You are saved when you see your sin for what it is, ask for forgiveness and accept that Jesus paid the price for it on the cross. After being saved, you repent and try not to sin or live a sinful lifestyle.
My life is holy, separate and apart from the world, but alas as Paul although I try not to sin I find that I do.
If all the rules you wrote must be followed to be saved, how do you account for the fact that Jesus told the man on the cross next to him "this day I will see you in heaven"? That sinner went to heaven because he knew he deserved to be on the cross and Jesus did not, he recognized Jesus as Christ.

I agree with 1,2, and 5. You must be baptized in the name of the Father Jehovah, the Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit which is the Comforter. One does not have to speak in tongues to prove that one has the Holy Spirit.

Yes, I believe that. And If you believe it too, you will on your way to heaven. A lot of people believe that all they need to do is go to church and be a good person to get into heaven. But it goes furtther than that. You will have to truly repent to all of your sins to be washed my the blood of Jesus. And you will have to live the life accordingly to the word of GOD. There is no such thing as you can drink, just don't get drunk. I believe in God, and I know one day he is COMING BACK, and the real question is,"will you be ready".

Just believe in God and be kind to all no matter how bad they choose to live their lives. Too many so-called religous people are very bad about judging others. There is also alot of hate in their hearts. I was raised to believe in God and he repersents everything good. Why do people have to dress in their best when attending church? Can't anyone worship God no matter how they are dressed? Why are people kicked out of churches if they look like they live on the streets? I believe that you do not have to go to churches to go to heaven. Churches are just bussinesses to make lots of money. A non profit organization that does not have to pay taxes on the money they get. Most of them, not all. I should not have to please others by going to church to worship our God. God is not a person, he is a spirit. Sometimes I do wonder if there is a god, cause why would he let bad things happen to little children? Why would he allow bad things to happen to good people? Why do some churches get destroyed by bad weather or fires? Sometimes I think that when you die, things just go black and that is it. Why are there poisoness snakes and useless bugs and aligators, sharks. Things that kill people? God created everything? Why them things? If God wrote the bible, why are there so many different versions? Why do they change things in it? You have to think about it, just imagine if we found out that there was not a God. Can you imagine how people would be towards others if they knew that they would not be judged their final judgment. they would be killing people for tiny reasons and no one would follow laws. The world would be kaous/wild. So maybe they have to say there is a God to keep humans under somewhat control. Who really knows who exsist? Just have to live a good life the best people can and be nice to others without judgments.

That is the truth!! We must be born again and then live selflessly, going out into the world unafraid of persecution and live as Jesus did. When you are born again, and really lead a good faithful life, you will always have good news to pass on to people.....

I am of The Christian Faith and I do indeed disagree...
God's Word is indeed True... and I have heard it. My Salvation is assured and I did none of that...except repent... one moment I was lost...the next instant I was saved. Because I came to God in The Way.
Salvation is a fee gift of God to all who come to Him in The Way He proscribes. Except for repentance all of the "acts' you describe are not part of qualification to receive Salvation from God.
I invite you to read my testimony of my first day of The Christian Faith... I was not looking for Jesus on that morning...quite the opposit...but then...in an act just between God and me... I was no longer lost.

Number 4 isn't necessarily true, according to the new testament. Cor 12:
7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.
So not all people manifest tongues even though they have the same Spirit.

All I think you need is to ask God for forgiveness, and to accept Jesus Christ. Try not to sin and ask for forgiveness when you do.
No one is ever without sin, so I do not know how following such a precise ritual would make any difference. It is betweeen the beleiver and God.
