Your family member has joined some religion and you decided to research their new found religion. You discover the founder was a con artist and all their "evidence" has been falsefied. Do you tell them that they had made a mistake? Or do you think that maybe that your religion may not be perfect either and if they are happy, it is ok.

It isn't. There is a glaring difference between intelligent design and science. Science changes as we gather more evidence to make our ideas more accurate. It begins with observation, and then proceeds to hypothesis, testing, and debate.

Intelligent design however, is very rigid, it begins with works of fiction, then proceeds to asserting, insisting, twisting the facts, and even torturing those who don’t believe it.

As you can see there is a big difference between science and intelligent design. So why do people still think intelligent design is a science?

Then why do they like to say that God doesn't send people to eternal everlasting never ending torture in hell, but rather they volunteerly choose to send themselves. Would they make the same excuse for the rapist or for Hitler? They blame the rape victim, the Jew, and the unbeliever, and don't blame the rapist, the dictator, or the all powerful might makes right god? What kind of moral relativism is this?

For example, let's say I wanted to become an archaeologist, or a paleontologist, or a geneticist, or even a physicist.
And, let's say, for some reason, I transferred to Bob Jones University or some other Christian college/university . What kinds of classes would I take to start on my chosen career path?

(ok, I know this question seems snarky on the surface. But I really am curious to know how religious institutions of higher education handle the high sciences)

There are many religions. I do not believe in god, but am open to ideas. Everyone says their god is the one god. 10 points to the most convincing argument. Would you tell me exactly what religion and sect first. I want real proof. For the record, you must not just make your religion sound best, but make it sound reasonable to me. Athiests can join in.

Go to this website and see for your self, here is a little piece of the article.

Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. "The Day of the Lord" (dies Dominica) was chosen, not from any directions noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church's sense of its own power. The day of resurrection, the day of Pentecost, fifty days later, came on the first day of the week. So this would be the new Sabbath. People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.

It is wrong not to fight back when someone attacks you, verbally or physically. 'What does vengeance solve?' you ask---well, it maintains honor, and will possibly prevent your enemy from doing the same thing to you again. Letting the law take care of things isn't always the answer--the police cannot right every wrong. And besides, some acts should be punished by a method of the victim's choosing, I think... vengeance is not wrong, in all instances!

In other words, if God is all knowing, then you cannot possible make a decision and God not know you are going to make it. In simple terms, lets say that you have to choose between Coke or Pepsi. God, being all knowing, has to know what you will choose. Let's say God knows you will choose Coke. You cannot possibly choose Pepsi then, since that would prove God wrong, thereby, dispoving God. So, if you cannot possibly choose Pepsi, how can there be free will?

I moved into a new house about 4 months ago... and have had problems with the neighbours within 1 hour of moving in. They have complained, and continue to complain about the noise by little boys make, they are 1 & 2. These neighbours bang on the wall, have played music extremely loudly in the early hours of the morning on a weekend, and have confronted my wife. They have just kicked off while my wife was tidying the conservatory, because she was "making too much noise" and they have sprayed the conservatory with there hose. The have complained to the council, as have we...... but are we doing anything wrong, we are living our lives, we are not a nuisance but they are totally intolerant of ANY noise (this is a five bed semi you'd expect normal family noise). My wife feels intimidated and is now reluctant to go into the garden! What rights do we have, as I feel we have done nothing wrong. We just want to live our lives! Please only informed sensible answers, this is my life!

At John 5:28, 29 it speaks of a resurrection of people who did good things and people who did bad things. At Acts 24:15 it speaks of a resurrection again of righteous and unrighteous. If good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell, why are these scriptures saying that people who did bad things will be resurrected? Why would a good person that is supposed to have gone to heaven need to be resurrected?
