Then why do they like to say that God doesn't send people to eternal everlasting never ending torture in hell, but rather they volunteerly choose to send themselves. Would they make the same excuse for the rapist or for Hitler? They blame the rape victim, the Jew, and the unbeliever, and don't blame the rapist, the dictator, or the all powerful might makes right god? What kind of moral relativism is this?

am a Christian and I find your question to be insulting and possibly the dumbest question I've ever read. It ranks right up there with things like I had unprotected sex all month , could I be pregnant? Comparing a rape victim to someone like Hitler or a serial killer is obscene. A rape victim did not wake up and decide " Hey , I'd like to be violated today." where as murders/rapists and other violent offenders made their choice. Taking the Christian part out , we still have man's laws and if you do the crime you do the time. Therefor , you decide to burn in hell by your actions. It is just like a child who knows not to lie or steal but decides they will anyway , if they get caught they are punished. Before we do things that we want to but we know they are wrong do we not ask ourselves , " Okay if I do this thing I really want to do but I know is wrong what is the possible outcome especially if I get caught?" We have the ability to reason do we not? Making the choice to commit the offense is making the choice to accept the consequence.

Huh?

Christian here: the rape victim does not choose to be raped. I don't understand where you came up with that.

Technically, yes, it is God's judgement that condemns or rewards someone, but it is because of whether that person rejects or accepts God. People do volunteerly go to Hell if they do not repent and ask for forgiveness. This is a choice they made, not God. We have to decide whether we want God's forgiveness or not, and we have to accept the conseqences of that choice.

It isn't the fault of the Jew or the rape victim for what happened to them. They never asked to be harmed like that.

It is the rapists and the dictators that choose to hurt those people who are at fault, not the victims.

It might be hard to read this next part, but God's mercy is so great that if for example Hitler HAD repented for his sins, SINCERELY repented, God would have forgiven him. This is how great God's mercy is. No sin is too great for Him.

A lot of us would probably explode in anger because to us, this is not justice. However, we are not the final judge. God is. What if we had committed some horrible sin, like rape or murder, and later had a conversion of heart and asked God for forgiveness?

Only God knows the heart. He knows if someone is sincere or just lying. His justice if perfect. That's why we must rely on Him, and not ourselves.

God bless.

Of course not. Christians don't believe the rape victim chooses to be raped. Just like Christians don't blame the Jew or whomever. Everyone has free will. Some of the choices people make separate themselves from God and man. When we separate ourselves from God and man we end up in an "eternal everlasting never ending tortue in hell". It's our choice. If we don't want to spend our time in hell then we don't do things that separate ourselves from God and man. So in this sense we "volunteerly choose to send" ourselves to hell.

No on chooses to be raped. Of course, not. That would be ludicrous. Sin is committed and Sin is forced onto people. But Christians believe what is stated in Romans 8:27-28

27 And he that searches their hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Even something as traumatic and evil as a rape, God can work to the good. Very rarely is a child conceived in rape. It does happen, but rarely. For some unknown reason, the chemicals in the body and in the channel leading to the uterus, immediately at the time of the assault, seems to become too acidic to sustain the life of the semen, and can even close completely.

However, killing the child will not erase the emotional scars of the rape. Perhaps raising the child to be a strong, healthy, loving, faithful child of God would be more of an offering to the fact that both survived the evil of a violent sin.

You may say, "But she may hate the child because it will remind her of her rapist." That may be. If the mother can find no love in her heart for the child, then she could choose to give it up for adoption. Or, she could turn the hate she feels for her rapist to love for the child.

Killing an innocent child is never an option for anything we may have to endure as an adult.

I don't know what you are talking about. I haven't come a across a true Christian who would blame someone for being a victim. I don't even know where you get this generalization in the first place. Christianity support the well being of the Jewish Nation and if you read the scripture you would see how the Jews are a very imporant aspect in our belief in God. I just dumb founded and still don't know how you came with this conclusion.

Dude, you are confused. I don't know what kind of Christians you've been talking to but you need to stop and find some real ones. that is a very serious misunderstanding of Christianity. We are all responsible for our sin, Hitler, the unbeliever, and the rapist. If you are talking to Christians claiming to be relativists, they are very confused. there is no room for moral relativism in Christianity. read Romans, this will clear some things up for you.

I don't even know what you are talking about, but it certainly isn't Christian!

The Bible is very clear in teaching that we are all born in to sin. That's the way we have all been since the Fall.

The choice is that we can get OUT of damnation.

No one who is Christian blames a rape victim for being raped, and anyone who thinks so is a fool.

Christians are quick to point the finger ... the victim is just that .. A VICTIM! the raper chose to be that. Life is full of decisions.. good and bad.. we should try to make good decisions and most do try.
I say ... forget bout organized religion and just follow your heart. The TRUE answers lie there, not in any book!
Religious orgaizations are only a business .. what is objective of any business??? TO MAKE MONEY!!!!
Just follow your heart and quit making someone else wealthier

Is it the vicims fault they get raped, no it is the rapist who is guilty. If you walk in front of a car is it the drivers fault you get hit,no its your fault for walking in front of the car. Unfortunately people suffer because of the choices of others. You made the choice and you have to deal with the consequences. You have the choice to follow God or deal with the consequences.

The rape victim does not say, I want to be raped. Those that do not follow God, do say I will not follow God. It is a choice.
