Actually, new technology can make oil from agricultural waste (and other kinds of waste). Currently, there is a plant operating in conjunction with a Butterball turkey factory. They take the leftover tissue, bones and blood from 35,000 turkeys each day and produce oil and fertilizer. The cost of producing the oil is about $80 per barrel which is not a lot more than what oil goes for on the world market these days.

Over the next decade it is expected that this technology will be deployed throughout the U.S. and in other countries. Tweaking the process will allow it to work with other types of waste/garbage such as old tires.

Eventually, this technology, combined with other expanded use of solar, wind, etc. and more fuel efficient vehicles should greatly reduce the demand for oil pumped from the ground.

So I think the doomsday scenarios regarding oil running out will not play out.

As to answer your question, I think they will try to acquire hold on world share market.....they surey have that much huge treasury even now to act upon their will. Oil magnets are shrewd enough to know the day is not far away to start thinking about the possibility of "No Oil Left".
