At John 5:28, 29 it speaks of a resurrection of people who did good things and people who did bad things. At Acts 24:15 it speaks of a resurrection again of righteous and unrighteous. If good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell, why are these scriptures saying that people who did bad things will be resurrected? Why would a good person that is supposed to have gone to heaven need to be resurrected?

The Bible doesn't say that good people go to heaven and bad to hell. What it does say is that those who directly oppose God will be destroyed. The rest of humanity has the chance to live forever in the paradise that God purposed right from the beginning. (He doesn't change, and neither does his purpose.)

When it talks about the righteous and the unrighteous, it is referring to the resurrection hope for those who know God and do his will, and those who never had the chance to come to know God. Remember, the wages that sin pays is death according to the book of Romans. Thus, when someone dies, he or she has paid the price for sin. It is up to God and his appointed judge, Jesus Christ, to determine who will have the chance to be resurrected to life on earth in the future.

Hope this helps you out.Revelation20: starting with verse 11:
And I saw a great whit throne, and him that sat on it,from whose face the earthe and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which wee written in the books according to their works. And the sea gave up the deadwhich were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:and they were judged every man according to his works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. AND WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. This is the judgement of the unsaved and you will notice that hell was also emptied. This is know as the white throne judgement.
Those that have not accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Also might want to add to this Revelaton 21:8 But the fearful and the unbelieving, andthe abominable, and murders, and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolators and all liars, shall have thier part in the lake of fire that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Revelation chapter 19 is for the saved also Revelation 20:6. Hope this helps....remember once you are saved you are the bride of Christ and will not face the white throne judgement.....

Right now, the dead are in an unseen realm, awaiting judgment (Luke 16).

All people - good and evil - will be returned to their bodies. Then comes the Judgement. Then, the wicked will be cast into hell and the righteous will go to heaven, with changed, transformed bodies.

Last Days
The first resurrection are those in heaven
The second resurrection are those in hell
During the rein of Christ on earth for a 1000 years he will rule ALL.
We will not be in the flesh but spirit, and all will be here as it was before the fall of Satan.

Reason with the information you just presented.
You have Scriptures that testify to the truth of a resurrection.
So are you going to go with what you see for yourself in the Bible or what people are telling you.
Do some research on who actually are going to heaven, and who are going to recieve everlasting destruction. Much of that is found in Revelation. Hope you find your answers. :)

At the time of the last judgement there is rearrangement. Some were "lowered" and some were "elevated." The last judgement is about 260 years in the past according to Swedenborg.

because people don't go to Heaven when they die. The bible says the dead are concious of nothing. That tells me that the dead are waiting for the ressurection, at which time they will be judged.
On another note... Hell, translated in Greek means 'the grave".

According to Muslim belief every human will be resurrected on the day of judgment. They have to face the judgement on that day.

Sadly the bible contradicts itself with its nonsupporting revelations. There is no such thing as resurrection.

There is reincarnation and karma. That's the answer to all this life and death thing.

That's right, you get to live other lives, until you are worthy enough to merge with the Creator.

There are two deaths: physical death and spiritual death. Physical death is the separation of the spirit from the body. Spiritual death is when we sin and separate ourselves from God.

When Christ died for us he helped overcome both deaths.

Overcoming physical death (resurrection) is a gift he has given to all mankind regardless of what they've done or if they believe in Him.

Spiritual death is overcome by believing in Christ and repenting of our sins. We must overcome spiritual death (our sins) in order to be with God in heaven. If we do not overcome spiritual death then we will not be with God.
