Is it something I should be scared of, or welcomed?

Washington just struck down a law making it legal for same sex marriage. How much further down the road to ruin will the US go before it self destructs?
I mean honestly, what's next? Denying the vote to Blacks and Women? How about making interracial marriage illegal again?
Honestly, if some people think it's acceptable to deny a basic civil right to a certian segment of the population, why not others?
(oh and for those of you who don't understand that marriage is a civil right, let me educate you; Marriage is a LEGAL institution, not a religious one. Want proof? Try to get married in a church without the legal paperwork. You can't. Now get married by a justice of the peace at city hall without any mention of a magic sky-pixie. No problem at all. See how that works? Good).
I invite discussion on the matter.

Martin Luther King said: Civil rights are based from the words of Jesus.

He also said Jesus was his Lord and Savior!

Was Martin Luther King wrong or misguided, did he "Fall for It" as I hear some say here.

I want a STRAIGHT forward answer...NO dancing around the question!

I've seen so many Oprah shows and read so many articles about the drug and how it really is taking over the country and in particular young teens. I wonder how this has happened because from all the cases I have heard about, this kids start off doing it at 13 years old.

What does it do to you? Have any of you ever done it and if you have, why? I mean its hard for me to understand, because here in NYC, I dont know ANYBODY who has done crystal meth and I do know quite alot of people. Even my druggie friends dont touch it. Why is it soooooooooo popular now these days, especially in like the Midwest I've noticed..
just wondering.

I think tiptoeing around our differences is a form of denial. Why deny our differences? Differences make the world go 'round! NO?

wuts the bible? a book sum people wrote, and kept adding on more stuff to go with what was happening at that time. to be its basically a book of morals, just lyke the "ten commandments" most of the little stories in the bible are probably misinterpretated, like jesus walking on water, mayb it was iced over water interpretated it wrong. n adam and eve? the first story in the bible..has already been proven impossible cuz of a thing called evolution. and look at the vatican, those people are rich, freekin rich, a good BUSINESS. religion is a business all and all. dont get me wrong the churches do great things to help out communitys, but is god going to smite be if i dont attend church, doubt it. also, u look back on the egyptians, romans, aztec, n c how strongly they believed in their religion, and now we think it was all a load of crap, but i bet 2thousand years from now people will b saying the same thing about us. i could go on forever but unfortunetly yahoo only lets u write a lil

Although evolution is true, I don't see anything in my previous question that supports the theory of evolution. I just pointed out that Intelligent Design is not a science. Are people just that dumb and like to jump to conclusions like that?

Why don't you stop leaning on a 2000 year old work of fiction, and get your own life. Make your own decisions. Live the way you want to live.

No?

Thought so.

Divine foreknowledge is incompatible with the reality of human freedom, which is one of our most primordial and undeniable experiences. Divine omnipotence (or omnicausality) is incompatible with the existence of evil, also one of our primordial experiences. Scriptural infallibility is an absurdity to anyone who looks impartially at the factual and moral errors in the scriptures, and the often barbaric depiction of God in them. Your condemnation of homosexuals (and of heterosexuals who don't toe the line of your moral standards) flies in the face of our knowledge of nature. You refusel to give pride of place in your thought to reason and experience, and instead find your certainty in ancient texts in an act of intellectual suicide. How can you expect to be able to witness convincingly to the central truths of the Gospel? Or does your concept of the Gospel's central truths reduce to these absurdities themselves?

My first language is Japanese and Im trying to perfect my English.

situation is: Naomi wake up at 6:00AM today.
Wich term is the most appropriate under that situation?

1. She woke up early in the morning.
2. She woke up early this morning.

I think the second one is correct.

I guess that (in the morning) ,itself means every morning.
So, (She woke up early in the morning) implies her old habit. and she doesn't wake up early now.

What do you think?
