I think tiptoeing around our differences is a form of denial. Why deny our differences? Differences make the world go 'round! NO?

ok---a 'pc' way to handle the fact that your avatar creeps me out would be for me to say nothing.

since i'm not pc, i'll just up and say "Boffo---that avatar of yours really creeps me out. Get a new one--deep-six that one!'

I cannot begin to tell you just how much I hate the whole concept. It's all driven by tiny-brained bureacrats who have nothing better to think about other than the possibility that some religious or ethnic group might take offence if a particular piece of terminology is used. The ironic reality is that most of the people who are deemed to be so easily offended are actually not offended at all.

I refuse to be bound by any so-called politically correct conventions. Let's have an international revolution against "PC"!!

Tact is one thing, but "political correctness" is the most BS concept of the 20th-21st century. Let's just say what we all mean instead of using all these lame euphemisms. How can we work out our differences if we tiptoe around the issue.

Eh? Well lemme put it to you this way mate - if I was a clown I would much rather be called a clown than an "abundantly colourfully decorated performer at a travelling show with trained animals and games with difficult odds or rodeo." That's a lot to say when I'm drunk. Heck, that's a lot to say when I'm sober.

Hate it. I do respect other people and their rights, but I cannot stand when people think it is their right to decide what I can do, say, watch, listen to, read, look at, etc. If you don't like it leave, change the channel, put down the book, turn off the TV, but most importantly, don't try to ruin things for other people.

I dislike people who try to be overly politically correct. I also really, really dislike the current state of censorship and the huge stigma attached to sex and nudity in our current society. Back when I was in school I asked a teacher a very simple question about sex. I got a ******* detention for it.

There is a difference that is never mentioned....political correctness as apposed to being polite or courteous. Screw being politically correct just be thoughtful and that should be enough! I love good "bad" jokes and it is impossible to find one that is not offensive.

Our differences seem to exist, but they're a bad excuse, for hatred. For example- if a person is Mexican and in the country legally, it's fine with me, I want to know the person. If a person is Afro/black, I would never marry such a person, but I wouldn't mind knowing her.

I don't follow it. Someone asks something, they'll get the straight goods from me. Political correctness goes way beyond white lies and sucks.

I'm totally with you. I hate political correctness, and I think it's downright silly to pretend we are blind to a person's attributes.
