My first language is Japanese and Im trying to perfect my English.
situation is: Naomi wake up at 6:00AM today.
Wich term is the most appropriate under that situation?
1. She woke up early in the morning.
2. She woke up early this morning.
I think the second one is correct.
I guess that (in the morning) ,itself means every morning.
So, (She woke up early in the morning) implies her old habit. and she doesn't wake up early now.
What do you think?

they could both be right. The "situation" is not so relevant in this case -- that is just the fact. It would depend on what you were talking about. for example, if you asked why naomi was so tired, I think I would say the 1st or second one. Or if she was explain what happened today, I think she would be more likely to use the first one. You english is good -- at this point english gets pretty messy

I would more likely say "She woke up early this morning" but I don't think #1 is wrong.
Neither one suggests a habit. #2 suggests that she woke up earlier than usual today, and #1 suggests either that she woke up earlier than usual on some particular day or that you the speaker think of 6:00 as exceptionally early.
For an old habit, you could say: She used to wake up early in the morning.
For a current habit, you could say: She wakes up early in the morning.
If it's a particularly new habit, you could say: She's been waking up early in the morning or She wakes up early in the morning now.

The second is the perfect. And if your friend Naomi always practices to wake up at 6.00, you can say like "Naomi always wakes up at 6.00 am" (She woke up early in the morning... is incorrect). This is simple english and if you wish to use her practice of waking up using a phrase, then just say "Naomi is early bird...!"

The second one is better for that situation. However, the first one is grammatically correct while speaking of a past event. Please overlook the statement by the ignorant racist above me.

I'm not good in English too-I'm from Russia, but I guess the both is correct.
But I'm not really sure.
