Is death a serious event?

Most people don't laugh during it.

No, seriously, if you're prepared for it, death is a welcome release from the pain and suffering of life (Philippians 1:21). If you're not, and you have never obeyed the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8) by being baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:27), it's something to be feared (Matthew 25:41). Your reaction then will depend on your action now.

Death is nothing to be scared of. Your life force (soul, spirit, or whatever you want to call it) is eternal. It lives forever, only the organic body dies. Therefore, if the body dies before your lessons are learned, you'll have to come back and do it all over again, but this time it will be harder. There is an "in-between" stage between lives. During this time you review your past lives, see what lessons you need to learn, and then pick the next life that will help you to learn. So no matter what kind of life you have, remember, you chose it. I have died, medically speaking, and was given this message before they brought me back to life. I was told that I was not finished with this life yet, and was sent back. I've "lived" it so to speak. Believe if you want; I sure do, and I'm no longer afraid of dying.

If you are a child of God, saved, have accepted Christ as your Savior, and are living your life, as best we can as sinful humans, by the leading of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God-----then you can rejoice when you die. You will be welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, and any family who have preceded you.

You will live forever with other brothers and sisters in Christ, no pain, no hunger, and in the company of Christ.

Death, for faithful and true Christians is nothing to fear at all!

Yes, it's serious. I believe that when we die, it's over. No second chances, no heaven or hell, or purgatory, no reflecting back on how/what we did with our life.
That being said, there's nothing to be scared of, because after death, there's nothing. And accordingly, there's also nothing to be welcomed. We are done, and that's all.

It all depends on who is dying. If it is you, I'm not too worried. If it is me then I would be a little scared. It is gong to happen so there is no need to get worked up either way. I will happen, put your energy towards things you can control.

It is serious, and it is even afraid to be okay if you do believe in God. Death is the unknown, nobody is 100% certain what happens after it, but we all have our beliefs about it.

It depends what death your are talking about. The flesh body or the soul.
The flesh, don't worry. The soul, worry a lot.
Mat 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. "
