much info including professional interview on the history channel...
state that in many early bibles, hell was never mentioned in them, along with never mentioning the devil. so wouldn't you believe those bibles more than bibles after them? wouldn't that prove that not everything in the bible is worth believing? and why would you believe in something that is proven to be written numerous times

Example - I can read and find hidden light across several hundred texts, some taking longer than others and it seems to upset quite a few people. Since no one person is any greater than another I don't see what the problem is but it seems to cause alot of friction.

In this question a girl did an attempt to show that the Bible has some pseudo-scientifical facts in it:

Some answerers give her some very reasonable answers, to refute the nonsense she obviously claims as truth. Some theists shout in their answers what a brilliant statement she made.

Does this show that atheists and theists just speak complete different languages? Is this really what that cute little story of the Tower of Babel was all about?

they get like 100 answers.

What are your thoughts on this? Do we enjoy being upset? Do we enjoy arguing over ambiguous things?

With all the destruction in the Middle East, God says a political leader will be raised up who will bring world peace--but it will be false peace bec after 3 and a half years of peace, the leader will force pple to worship him and kill those who don't.
I despise when pple say the antichrist is George Bush because the bible says that the antichrist will be someone who everyone loves. In this case, not everyone loves George Bush so it is impossible for him to be the antichrist. The antichrist will be loved by many. pple will be deceived.
The Bible clearly states the things that need to happen before the return of Christ. One of those things is many wars and rumors of wars, many earthquakes and rumors--also the same with floods and other weather related things.
The bible also says that the temple will be rebuilt first and when it is, that will be a sign that Christ will come soon.
I don't play date setting games but I believe we are close and I believe in the pretribulational rapture

For far too long we have been inundated with religious preachers knocking on doors, screaming on street corners, babbling in church, and worst of all, using TV to ram their beliefs down our throats and those of our children. Prophets or profits? I think the answer is obvious. Hands raised upwards, then into the pockets, let’s give money money money.

A little old lady comes on stage, push her forehead, she falls over and low and behold, she’s cured of her mental and physical woes. Hands raised again, yep you’re on to it, let’s give more money money money. Check out the preachers shiny white teeth as they count their gold.

Here’s the truth. Sam has a lunatic in his head, crippled legs, done his bit for the country, but Sam manges to come on stage smiling, gets pushed over, falls flat on his a.s.s and he’s still got a lunatic in his head, and he’s still a cripple. Guess what, no money money money. That’s the real truth.

When trying to refute evolution, many creationists cite that there is "no evidence in the fossil record," when there is indeed. There are literally dozens of "inbetween" organisms! The most famous example being archaeopteryx, an inbetween step from lizard to bird, of which there are complete fossils with feathers and skin impressions.

In April 6th Nature magazine reported a new sarcopterygian fish skeleton, a step from fish to amphibian/quadraped.

Then there is always the ever-cited evidence of moths in Britain during the Industrial Revolution evolving into a black color to match the soot deposits on everything.

I guess my question is... How do creationists/ID believers simply ignore this evidence, and continue citing that there is no fossil evidence?

I thought the religious craziness ended with the Inquisition. A thousand years later, blind obedience is still alive and well!

Why is it that the Goverment complains about us living longer and the strain on society but they moan about us smoking, drinking and being overweight and keep mentioning we will die sooner if we dont look after ourselves, but surely they would like us to die sooner to save money?

It is a question that the United States, Great Briton and the rest of the culprits involved try to stop the world from asking. The problem that exists today would not and could not exist if not for the illegal occupation of the Palestinian territory. If it were really justice for the so called Jews that the west was looking for, then it would have been just to carve up some of it's own land in Europe (Germany Perhaps...Since they were busy carving it up anyway) or the United States to placate those that had been displaced. If memory serves me correctly, I believe Hitler’s reasoning behind barring those who now occupy Palestine from Germany was because he believed they were the root to all of the problems inflicting his country. Being that they have now been the problem in an entirely new region from 1945 to the present, I would have to say that his research must have been correct.
