From God’s so called Bible - Isaiah 13:15-18

“Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children.”

How any decent person can believe and follow the Bible is beyond imagination, or do you just ignore the bits you dislike and twist the rest into a happy delusion, much like the behaviour of drug addicts?

I have seen visiting Christian missionaries taunting Hindus for being polytheistic. Agreed, in Ten Commandments, it says not to worship more than one God; however, is it correct to ridicule people who, generally, do not confront you in any other way? Furthermore, then what is the difference between such missionaries and the terrorists who kill in the name of their religion?

Leviticus 17:11: “For the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you ... It is the blood, given in exchange for a life that makes purification possible.” For centuries after these words were written, scientists were bleeding the sick with leeches.

Job 28: 24, 25: “For he looked to the ends of the earth, and saw under the whole heaven, to make the weight for the winds; and he weighed the waters by measure.” Long after these words were written, scientists maintained that air is weightless. Eventually they caught up to the Bible and realized that air has weight.

Job 38: 19, 20: “Where does light come from, and where does darkness go? Can you take each to its home?” When God asked these questions of Job, he was showing him that light travels. It would take scientists many years to figure that out.

Isaiah 40:22 says, “God sits above the circle of the earth." For centuries after Isaiah, scientists thought it was flat.

Who else thinks its bad that we now pay a premium for organic food? I've just spoken to my mum who says that years ago organic food was cheap and the norm! Also I've just seen an advert for BUPA advertising clean wards! Are they saying NHS wards are dirty??

Do you consider matter to be imperfect because it changes?

If matter didn't change and adapt we would have no solid, no liquid and no gas. Matter can exist in any time, place, environment and yet you consider it imperfect because it adapts in order to do so.

Perfect matter would support your argument about a perfect god as a perfect god could not create imperfect matter.

Following this anything made of matter would be perfect, meaning life is perfect.

You claim the soul/spirit is not made of matter so if you want to say it is imperfect that wouldn't hurt the argument either.

Please explain for me.

Thank you.

To voice against religious beliefs is understandable. The religious do so every day. However, when the anti-religious speak with desire to eliminate religion, and begin to blame much, (if not all) of society's or the world's problems on religion, are they not becoming a fascist themselves? Is this not an irony?

No it is not. the root of all evil is mankind. Who created money? who created a sense of compromise that is a sentimental vibe? who created the split in society between those who have and those that don't have, which is the main source of every negative action that happens in this world? mankind did. people say greed is the root. well, who has greed? human beings. who puts all the 7 deadly sins into full motion? human beings. you don't see animals doing the things we do don't you? we are the only species on this planet who does good and bad things for all types of reasons, to fullfill all types of pleasure. as long as there are human beings on this earth, there will always be evil. now without human beings, will there still be evil? will there still be money?

..Why Do People Still Believe It?
In the past, people could at least plead ignorance of modern science, I mean, we've accepted the Earth is not flat and revolves around the Sun.

I love Philippians 4, especially vs. 4, 6,8,10 &13. They're good memory verses. This chapter talks about not worrying, praying and trusting, keeping our minds on godly things, being content, and rejoicing in God.
