Why is it that is you ask a really stupid question,( Like asking people if they knew Lance Bass was gay), It get a ton of response! But if you ask a meaningful question, you get only a couple of answers???

Exodus 21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.

Am I only allowed to sell my daughters into slavery or can I get rid of my sons too?

Its my understanding that they have found that people in different regions of the world have different digestive enzymes that have evolved in humans as a result of different diets. That is to say that they can prove that these differences didn't always exist and over the course of time people have adapted and developed these differences. aka survival of the fittest. This is the proof of evolution asked for by so many on this site.

I admire them because they are non-conformists and they are usually very intelligent. I spend at least an hour every day on Witchcraft, and while Witchcraft does make me happy and spiritually at peace, I sometimes wonder: "If I was an atheist and not a devout Pagan, I would spend my time improving my brain than being a Witch."

What can I do about this? I love being a Pagan, please don't get me wrong. Paganism brought meaning to my life. I just wish I were as smart as I am spiritual.

Does anyone have any suggestions or inspirational stories?

I know it says in there myth book that they would be "persecuted" for being christians, but i guess the myth book was wrong cause there the least persecuted out of any religion. And dont listen to the lies that all christians say, the truth is there not persecuted in any country. The only time they get something is when they go to foreign countries and try and convert them with there missionaries, and the people there dont wanna hear there garbage and so the christians get what they were asking for, but they brought that on themselves and thats not persecution, if they dont want that then they should mind there own business. So why exactly do all you christians love complaining that your so persecuted when in fact your the least persecuted of all the beliefs and your the majority? Explain that

Even before I was a christian I never put people down for their beliefs, I just didn't feel the way they did. I now am a christian but I am still a human being. I enjoy listening to and talking to other people and I don't think I have the ablity to change them. If someone was interested in my belief I would talk to them about what I have been through. Why so much hate?

The "fallen world" is a big theme for you folks. I see the world as haven gotten better in my lifetime of 55 yrs.
yes we have crime and lots of problems, but polio, the scourge of my youth has been eradicated as have many childhood diseases, the draft was abolished, Communism has been beaten in Russia and a black woman is the US Sec of State, etc.,etc. Why the pessimism from christians.? A world advancing toward greater sophistication not in your dogma?
The world is not perfect but it has been getting better since the mythical fall from grace thanks to advances in science and secular government.

Hey, I'm guilty as charged, so don't gimme none of that "judge not, lest ye be judged" rhetoric.

And yeah, I know we can do good works here. But ... ... is that honestly what most of us really spend our time doing here?

And I am all about "free will" so don't think I'm telling ya what do to. I'm leaving that up to other folks.

I have a business that is not going so well. My parents are worried about me because I am not making money. My boyfriend is worrying about not having enough to cover his bills so he is avoiding me. (He does that when he is down.)

I pray, but lately I feel like God is not listening to me, because right now I don't have money to pay my bills. And I am frustrated because it would only take a few sales or a part time bookkeeping job to let me pay bills each month. But lately there has been nothing.

Under the idea God gave us Free will, why does it confuse so many when it is so easy to understand.

We have free will to make ALL our choices, good or bad, God or not, we have free will to use our minds to determine what to do, how to act, what choices to make, and what to believe. So why do people think it is impossible that God gave us that? He may know what you will choose before you choose it, but he lets you decide. He lets you choose it, without plucking you up by your shirt collar and telling you "NO". He lets you reap the reward, or take the consequences based on your own choices.

Main Entry: free will
Function: noun
1 : voluntary choice or decision

By definition, what so hard to understand?
