I just don't get it - that rule doesn't work in any other country. Little help here?!

Labor Day signals the end of summer and white is considered a summer color. It's just a fashion rule. You can wear whatever you like.

It is an old rule from when my mom was young but I don't know a lot of people that follow that rule anymore. It is considered a summer color. Now, you could wear winter white or beige and that is fine (in a fashion sense!).

I think it is because in the fall and winter there is more mud and you know mud shows up really well on white.
