They don't. They add to the moral decay of the world as we know it. I don't care what argument anyone makes, it is still wrong in the eyesight of God so therefore I will speak up about it. No, I do not love them any less than anyone else. They are my brothers and sisters in Christ. I love them just the sin they indulge in. They may give to the poor, volunteer their time where needed, etc. but their lifestyle is still wrong. Sorry, that is the Word of God and I am sticking to it. May God Bless

They are far less likely to reproduce - which on a resource
strained planet is a good thing.

Everything else I could say would be a vast generalization
which either side could snipe at me.

I would turn the question around: How do homosexual
couples HARM our society?

I have seen *NO* credible non religious answer to this
question.

Generally the most articulate response you get is "Its just
wrong" - with no credible evidence of why, who it harms or
how.

Going back to your question, there is some statistical evidence
that says that "out of the closet" homosexuals tend to be
better educated and earn more than their heterosexual
counterparts.

The "out of the closet" part is important: There is no
evidence whatsoever that homosexuality has any relationship
to earning power or education - only that those who come
out tend to be better educated than the norm.

However, to really be a couple, I maintain that they need to
be at least somewhat out of the closet (at least to each other).
Better educated couples will generally bring up better
educated children (there are lots of ways to get children
that do not increase the population...)

So: My answer is as follows: They will somewhat reduce the
population growth and ever-so-slightly increase the
level of education of children.

However, the differences will be imperceptibly slight and
will be tangled with all sorts of other issues. I don't expect
any of the above effects to be noticable.

Gay and lesbians can't benefit our sociey in a spiritual manner bec they are living in disobediance to God BUT, the gay and lesbian community can and does very much so, benefit our society in an ethical and humanitarian way. Gay and lesbians are not hateful or bad people. God loves gays and lesbians and when some christians use violent methods to protest, they are wrong too. God draws pple with his love, not violence. I do believe what the bible says about the matter but, you will never see me overtly protest by throwing things, yelling, swearing or hurting pple. In this post, I am simply being honest to what I believe, do not take it in any other way. In love, Bonnie

The same way as any other couple benefits society. And often with more tolerance and kindness towards their fellow man than some narrow-minded folks I've known.

The same as any other couple.

What is the difference between a gay couple (who will produce no children from the marriage) and a hetero couple who opt not to have children?

The benefits come from what they contribute to the community.

Ppl in positive relationships bring positive things to society. Ppl in socially accepted positive relationships bring even more positivity to society. Ppl in socially accepted relationships with legal equality enrich the lives of everyone. A society that values the differences of it's members and appreciates that everyone is the sum of their experiences from inception to the present moment, is one that seeks growth, including equality for all.

What does ones sexual preference have to do with "benefiting our society"? I know heterosexual couples (people) that are pretty useless.
