Weed eating fence lines is another job I don't want. Immigrants are a very important part of our economy. We need them, and want them. They do not "take America jobs" but rather fill positions that otherwise would not be filled. Making these people hold these jobs illegally is wrong. We all reap the benefits, but then classify them as criminals. A legal way for these people to work in the greatest economy in the world has to be found quickly.

There were Americans doing these types of jobs before the illegals got here but because of the illegals willingness to do the job so cheaply the Americans that were doing them were laid off or passed over so the boss could make a few extra dollars. The illegals are not paying taxes, are getting free health care and living with 20 people in one apartment so their living expenses are next to nothing so they are keeping almost every penny of their ".25 cents" or sending it back home. We, as Americans, need to turn in those employers who are hiring illegals. There is a number employers can call to check I9 forms and it's 1-888-347-2423. I'm all for immigration, let's just do it LEGALLY.

The first thing we learn about in History Class is that both Canada and the States were founded by Explorers and Settlers from eastern lands. Who was it that decided that settling in The Promised land was no longer an option? There would be less hate in this world if there were not judgement upon all the things that make us individuals instead of races.....but that starts a whole new topic of discussion.

I think that for all countries, they look at a certain "group/nationality" with hatred (maybe brought on my immigration/crime, etc). In the USA it is the Mexicans, in the UK, it is the Pakastanis. People assume and class all immigrants as the same. There are many good South American doctors, great teachers from Africa, etc, but unfortunately, people in the 1st world countries think or rather assume that 3rd world country citizens are useless. Sad, but true.

I have no problems with people from other countries moving here legally. I did it, I paid for all the meetings, medical tests, pictures, forms to be processed. I did this so that I could live here legally, what bothers me is the people who come here illegally and can collect the same benefits, if not better ones, get medical for free, paying taxes, etc. and not have to go through the same routine I did, or have to pay the same fees I had to.

How would they feel if we all ran across the border into Mexico to use up all we could get our hands on? I am not against LEGAL immigration mind you, my grandparents had to do it the right way, sp should everyone else. By the way employers shoulod want to protect the American workforce-their customers, and only hire legal citizens. And pay a proper wage. Its all about profit and the businessmen are raping us all.

they're not getting 0.25 per hour. that's a myth. illegal immigrants never get less than $5.00 per hour, anywhere, period. and they send most of their earnings to their families in Mexico, which is disturbing the balance of trade, and watering down the US dollar. read up on your international economics.

it's beyond question that the only Americans who benefit from illegal immigrant labor are the employers. if you are a working class American (I am not) then illegal immigrant labor is hurting you.

since most people are working class, the powerful rely on a campaign of disinformation to keep you in the dark. that's why you think they make 0.25 per hour and only do undesirable jobs.

no one wants to to that kind of work for that little pay.....but don't you think it's a huge human rights violation that companies can do that....talk about exploiting workers. And they get no benefits on top of that.

We have plenty of job-less folks here, we just need to round them up and put them on chain gangs to have them do those jobs.
