Because almost 90% of the white American population of that time was in the KKK. Why don't people like to get shot in the face?

Why does it have to be christians? Oh and your question is an obvious no due to racial tensions being a lot higher. People that remember those times refer to them as the good old days because the country was bland and their wasn't much defiance of the culture. They had their set ways that they refused to defy. No change means little progress though, something had to happen which lead to the sixties. The sixties came with LSD and other drugs that changed the way people thought, in my opinion, for the better. Giving a lot more people freedom of thought. Christians probably refer to the 50's as the good old days cause they tend to believe that everything in the world is evil expect for their ways. Pretty one sided way to look at things and it makes people act like robots.

Your implication is that white Christians are racist. Your evidence is severely lacking. Everybody sometimes looks toward better times. Some look forward, some look back. It's called "the grass is greener-syndrome."
Stop trying to divide people. That's the root of racist behavior.

they have no reason to and I find it amusing that blacks believe in christianity at all since it was a white religion they ALLOWED black slaves to take part in to further assimilate them.
