Whether it's Greek mythology, Norse mythology, or Christian mythology...People devote their lives to mythology. Does that matter?

Do you smoke Newports? Do you think Judge Joe Brown is the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court? Do you think that Montel and Oprah should be awarded Nobel Prizes? LMAO. Get in the game people.

23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. 24 Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

my husband and I are both Christians but we have different interpretations of what certain things mean and how certain things should be done. He thinks I am losing faith and getting frusterated because I pray wrong as I do so quitely, in secret, and not outloud and or with him. He has pointed out several places in the Bible where it states "ask and you shall recieve" or "when 2 or more gather together and ask..." or "profess with your mouth..." and therefore believes we are to pray outloud however I have read that God knows what is done in secret and rewards you for it therefore I believe that I am to pray quietly and it is to be between noone but me and God. So who is right and who is wrong?? Are we supposed to pray outloud together or quietly and alone or does it matter where and how just as long as were doing so in Jesus name???

change things for the better? I mean the whole nine yard , new city new job just a whole new beginning. I have done it once before and it was somewhat of a success, but I'm not sure if I may just be pushing my luck. Has anyone truly done this recently, and how did it turn out? I know there is some pro's and con's to concider but truly do people still beleive in this just for the sake of improving your current situation. Or am I just being selfish and discontent .

People that are Jewish, Muslim, Aethiest, Agnostic, Hindu, Buddhist, etc. are allowed to have religious beliefs and traditions and it's ok. It's what they believe (no matter how politically incorrect they are). And yet, if you are christian, you are automatically labeled as racist-sexist-homophobes that should change their beliefs b/c the times have changed.

Other groups are respected and revered for their history, culture, and beliefs, while others want christians to change theirs b/c their feelings get hurt b/c of what we believe.

Abortion is not mentioned in the Bible at all. The one of the most common arguments from fundamentalists comes from the Ten Commandments, where we are told "Thou Shalt Not Kill." But this begs the question of "kill what?" Does this commandment mean we cannot kill anything, even a fly? No. It means we should not kill another human being. Of course, the Fundamentalist believes a pre-born fetus is the same as a full-term human being. God, however, does not. In Exodus 21:22-25 we read that if a man accidentally kills a pregnant woman, that man should be condemned for committing murder. However, if he only kills the fetus - that is, if she miscarries - he is not condemned for murder. Clearly, then, God does not consider the pre-born fetus as being the same as a human being, in which case the Commandment of "Thou Shalt Not Kill (a human)" does not apply.

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Years ago I was taught that EGO is Easing God Out and that self esteem was being comfortable living in "ones on skin" I was told that I had a large ego, with a low self esteem. It took me years to see the difference. I was also taught that the wise discuss ideas, the fool justifies ideas. What do you think?

I was in some kind of old and crude looking town in a forest, we were being held in that town, no one was allowed to leave it. Anyways, in order to scape that town, you had to challenge one of the elders. I did, it was this young woman, but had a witch look to her. She told me that the challenge was that we were going to be crucified and then fire was going to be lift beneath us, who survived longer, was the winner. My reward would be freedom for me and my friends. On the way to the crucifition place, I noticed many things, its was rather dramatic, I saw crosses of all kinds, black birds flying over head, people making bets on who the winner would be, then a wind came and blew leafs all over the place, I saw the crosses that we were going to be placed on, I kneel before my cross and prayed, while praying, I saw many people i know or knew pass by me, I prayed for quite a while, crying and thinking if i was going to survive. I felt the wind on my face and woke up.
