I'm sure we are intelligent by our standards, because we are the only ones that measure intelligence....the truth is if we could communicate with the animals they would have some interesting things to say about our so called intelligence

I agree with the article. Human being are intelligent, and that's the main reason we have created so many technology but other primate could not do that.

Intelligence is the ability to think in abstract thought. We measure that ability using a quotient (IQ). The higher the quotient the more 'intelligent' one is.
Scientists are dicovering that other animals are able to think in abstract thought, not just us humans.
The five most intelligent animals are also the most social. They are, the human, the primate, the dolphin, the canine and the bear.

Intelligence is purely relative in my humble opinion. I could be viewed intelligent when compared to some people/things and not when compared with others...
