Whether it's Greek mythology, Norse mythology, or Christian mythology...People devote their lives to mythology. Does that matter?

Nope, altho it's kinda scarry to use the word devote with anything. Doesn't leave much room for error or open minds.

Even avowed atheist scientists admit that behind many so-called mythology are some basis, some reason or glimmer of truth behind it.
Christianity and Judaism is not myths, by the way. Maybe by your standards. But reality is not hinged on your personal opinion might add. Unless you can prove conclusively that God does not exist - something no scientist on earth has yet to do - maybe you should pick on something more challenging - like can you really prove your concept as fact?

Christianity is the truth and not a mythological story. The Bible is the most accurate historical and religous text ever compiled. Historians agree with me on this one.

The belief that Christianity is mythology is, itself, mythology. But you're clinging to it pretty tight. Why is that?

It matters to the person. It gives the person a sense of accomplishment, duty and fulfilment. As it is also an invidual choice, it has to matter to the person making the choice. If it didn't matter, the person would not choose.
Even atheism is a personal choice.

Not in and of itself, but when another person's beliefs infringe on my rights or affect my life, then it starts to matter.
