That killing, stealing, raping, lying, etc is wrong.
That helping others and giving to your community improves the quality of life for all.
You know, the types of things humanity has believed in since long before anything in the bible was ever thought of.

The Bible is a collection of poorly composed, highly inconsistent and inaccurate myths originally created orally by desert peoples in the Middle East. These people didn't know the earth was round, much less that it orbits the sun. However, given that the Bible has long been the document used to justify enslavement, genocide, rape, and war, then I would have to say that if it had never been written: I believe the world would be a better place than it is now.

The same thing I believe now. There are many things about the universe that I do not have the answers for their origin, and do not know the meaning of life. But as to how humans inhabited the Earth and have come to dominate it is well documented scientific fact. That's what I believe now, and really wished that stupid Bible thing never existed. The only good it does is seperate the smart from the dumb and pathetic.

Honestly i don't really get why bible thumpers never understand or read this passage. Simple truth is you never have to read the bible, or even know it existed.
If you believe in God, Jesus, and the general religion spelled out in the bible. Then Jesus died to give you the written law in your heart.
All you have to do is follow your heart. The bible practically drills this message into you book after book. But preachers insist on teaching you versus by versus to their own ends. Usually money and power.
Romans 7
6But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

There are other religions out there so if the bible was never written then I think we would have adapted another religion of some sort that may be close to Christianity or we would have moved to the many other posibilities out there.

Before the bible was written god had his Prophets preaching his word and if the bible was not created back them. I believe god would still use his servants to speak his word to his people etc like moses, David

Probably the same as I believe now. As I don't believe the bible is any God's word... just mankind trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

The Bible was written, like it or not. So what's the purpose of even asking such a question?
