People seem to think they are so tolerant but they are really not. They simply have a tolerance of conveience. They easily focus on something they accept but others may not, but are hypocritical in all the other things they do not accept but do not address.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[a] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

Revelation 20:11-13 (New King James Version)

This seems pretty clear to me, either believe in Jesus Christ, or on the day of judgement, you are on your own.

Seems pretty blunt and clear to me.

Alright, I was watching the news and there was a guy in Canada who did this research that says that homosexuality was a genetic defect.

You see it more in youngest male children of a family with more than one boy.. than in any other group. Basically, it says it is the mother's fault. In her womb.. you change from a female fetus to a male fetus if you're going to be a boy.. and if you're a homosexual it was because your mother didn't allow your growing , maturing fetus enough testosterone..

Same thing with females. ( only decrease in estrogen)

I'm not saying I believe it, but it's certainly something to think about. What do you think?

God created people, people worship something other than God, people ignore God, therefore doesn't it seem reasonable that God would want to call the people he created to account?

The reason why I'm agnostic is because I believe that you can't always depend on Him to do everything for you. Years ago, I had to pray and everything. I confessed my sins and all, I desired several things and attempted to get what I want. I didn't have full faith in myself since I believed God will be there to help me. I learnt from that and I believed that you can't always depend on Him to help you, you have to do it yourself. That's why I stand agnostic, a tentative belief that the existence of God can neither be proven nor disproven. What about you?

I kind of understand when you are around your boyfriend or a guy you like. They did an episode about it on Sex & the City. But what about around other girls? Even in the bathroom at work, women don't want other women to know they have to go number 2. Whats up with that?

Look at all the wars and death and suffering that is brought about by groups of people who maintain that their conjecture about God and everything is better than everyone else's conjectures.

Why kill for something that nobody can prove or deny and which is probably fantasy anyway. It's like waging war over which is the movie of the year?

What about all the born-agains whose preachers make them vote for a man who wants to wage war in the name of the latest buzzword 'freedom' even though the result is invariably death, destruction, suffering and yet more hate.

Organized religion causes as much devastation as other stuff like drugs and should be illegal for pretty much the same reason that it brings about the degeneration of society - except on a worldwide level.

What's your take?

Other than the Hispanic "Day of the Dead" and the Celtic Samhein, do any other countries/cultures celebrate a holiday similar to Halloween? I am collecting information for my 6th grade class's October research project. I am looking specifically for Asian cultures, or African cultures, but any and all responses are welcomed. Also, any websites that might help.

And what was there before God for God to come from? Who made that?

I've been pretty lucky; I don't have much to say here. I suppose having an 18-wheeler total my two-seat sports car (with me in it) was the closest I came to serious injury. But it was a lot less serious than it sounded. (ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT!)

I was also supposed to schedule an appointment at 7 World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The plans fell through - I was not in NYC that day, thank God. Obviously the truck story was more dangerous to me personally.

But have any of you come close to death? What did you learn from it that you would like to share? Thanks.

(Matt 26:26) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body."

Referring to the Blessed Bread, Jesus said "This is my body".

There are many, many Christians who have been taught that Jesus REALLY said, "This is a symbol of my body".

If you are one of those Christians, why don't (or can't) you believe what Jesus said.... "This (the Blessed Bread) IS MY Body" ???

NOTE: I know there will be "christians" who will answer this by simply spewing hate and lies about the Catholic Church.

Jesus showed us how to spot "false Christians" in Matthew 7:15-23. He said "You will know them by their fruits."

So to them I say, go ahead and spew your hate and your lies if you must. But by your fruit you will show who you are.
