Well, maybe not that long. The Dominionists are moving along with their agenda pretty much on schedule. Perhaps as soon as 20 years from now (unless we do something about it), the Constitution should be down the toilet, a Theocracy in place, and atheists, Mormons, blasphemers and sassy teenagers will be stoned to death in the Public Square.

Dominionists have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.

Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”

They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.

Wake up. Take a stand. Do something... for we are sowing the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious nut-jobs are awaiting God's demolition job.

Cruel and Unusual Punishment aka Constitution. But in my opinion, good and usual punishment. I really want to stone some ppl. Public stonings teach kids not to commit crimes.

I am guessing (judging from your other questions), that you meant this question as a joke.

Since America is a nation of laws, while public stoning is a function of mob mentality (which follows no laws but the fire in one's belly), I am guessing - and hoping - that it won't make a return.

It has. It's called capital punishment. They've got a nice row of chairs for spectators at all the executions.

Honey...I'll just use the words that Jesus said here....let he who is without sin cast the first stone, so that leaves pretty much everyone out.

I'm surprised it hasn't, since people seem to need to participate in violence. It's more honest to throw a rock than to watch somebody being killed on TV.

Because it's too gruesome for large segments of the public.
