The question posed by Stephen Hawking about earth, humankind, and our existence over the next 100 years. It really made me wonder if humankind will be around for another century.

It depends on the situtaion since they are diverse categories your question has to be more specific. If you were asking in general, i wouldn't be able to choose, because no answer is at it's best, it's just diverse which has its weaknesses and also strengths.
