There are people who have gone through rounds of surgery, chemo, radiations or any other of a number of SCIENTIFIC medical advancements to come out the other side and say, “It was God’s Miracle that saved me”. I am okay with that; if it is your belief-then all medical interference is discounted. That said, if stem cell is going to offer new technology and research to cures for some pretty awful diseases than why the discord? This seems to be an argument that is being waged by ummm…Christians? I mean on one side you have priests, ministers and the like and the other you have Nancy Regan and other ministers for goodness sakes…Why?
And yes I understand the issue; I am just wondering why Christians are on polar opposites on the same issue…

I'm an atheist, but I study the Bible. I'd prefer a Catholic edition as I would like to have the additional books. I'm looking for translations as close as possible to the original text. Minor alterations for idiomatic purposes are okay. Major alterations for political purposes (e.g. gender inclusive language) I'd like to avoid.

While it is true that some native and non-native "teachers" have attempted to package and profit from
native spirituality sold to a mass audience, many First Nations leaders have not only criticized the marketing of their peoples' religion, but have even said that native ways are for natives only. Is this so? After all, if the medicine is good, then isn't it good for everyone?

I have heard this phrase many times before but I never understood what it meant or how the term was devised. I always thought that "out of pocket" meant the amount of money you have to pay in lieu of what an insurance or financing agreement would offer.

I'm not an atheist, because I'm not against the idea of god/gods (which is what the word implies), i'm not an agnostic for that same reason.. But I truly loathe the christian ways - offering me salvation, insulting me, quoting the bible and killing debate.. So I suppose I'm an antichristian. Anyone got a better term though?

What's up with the easter bunny during Easter, should we worship him like we do Jesus? If Jesus was the son of god, was the bunny the Pet of God?

The "Kinderhook Plates," a group of six metal plates with strange engraved characters, unearthed in 1843 near Kinderhook, Illinois, and examined by Smith, who began a "translation" of them. He never completed the translation, but he identified the plates as an "ancient record," and translated enough to identify the author as a descendant of Pharaoh. Local farmers later confessed that they had manufactured, engraved and buried the plates themselves as a hoax. They had apparently copied the characters from a Chinese tea box.

So the liar was caught lieing again and the sheep continue to follow....what purpose does it serve an LDS member to know their leader was a fraud?

Are there any names in the Bible that was used for other people in the Bible more than once?
In other words was there anyone else named Sara, Bethsheba, Abraham, David, Noah, Moses, Job, or ANY other name? Or is each name in the Bible unique?
The majority of our names in past and present generations have been used a trillion times (Robert, Michelle, Sandra, Ray, etc. ) Thanks

Look guys, I appreciate the biography and all that but you got your facts pretty screwed up.

Just let me make one thing clear guys. I never smited anyone ! And as for the plagues of locust ? No chance ! I hate insects...ugh. I never realised that they would evolve.

I also never asked anyone to hate or kill in my name. Just chill out guys. Some of those atheist dudes are kinda cool. at least they don't kill people in my name.

And as for that Noah's Ark thing. LOL. No chance ! I get sea sick watching Speed 3.

Oh yeah... and lay off the gays. I got nothing against them. Sheesh ! you guys and your crazy stories.

Anyway, you guys look after each other.... that's all I ever wanted.

PS.... Don't make me come down there........ kidding kidding. Chill.

To me, a Catholic, it looks polytheistic. The Hindu Godhead appears to comprise multiple individual persons.

Informed answers only please. Only Hindus or people who have actually studied Hinduism.
