Was in the ending credits for Deadwood season 1, episode 5

God and man played hide and go seek
God told man,
"Now man don't you peek!"
Man counted to 10 and then looked around
God was nowhere, nowhere to be found

Now God is in you and God is in me
And to love all of God is to love humanity

nothing but masquerading demonic intruders, who are weaving a deceitful web in order to further trap millions today?
I do not believe they are coming from another planet. I believe they are coming from a parallel reality: the non-three dimensional supernatural realm described in the Bible.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? Let me explain:
Christians believe that a baby was born to a virgin, grew up to be a man who could turn water into wine, heal the sick, raise the dead, walk on water, rise from the dead, and float up to heaven, Superman style.

All atheists do is refuse to believe that craziness. Yet a christian always treats an atheist like they are insane. Weird, huh?

The paper, published in the Journal of Religion and Society, a US academic journal, reports: “Many Americans agree that their churchgoing nation is an exceptional, God-blessed, shining city on the hill that stands as an impressive example for an increasingly sceptical world.

“In general, higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy and abortion in the prosperous democracies.

“The United States is almost always the most dysfunctional of the developing democracies, sometimes spectacularly so.”

From all point of views, is it natural or evil. Christians, would it be evil to masturbate while thinking of your husband? I just want some opinions, I am not making a decision on this or anything. It would just be interesting to see what everyone thinks. Thanks.

While I am for stem cell research, I must understand why people are opposed to it if I am to convince them to be for it.

I think some of the reasons people are against it is they think that this is hurting the "life" issue. The people who are against stem cell research are mainly all pro-life on the abortion issue. They feel that in allowing stem cell research, that this is allowing scientists to do expiriments on "life", and that this might be used to justify abortions. They are saying if you can do expiriments on human stem cells, than what is to stop us from abortions, since you (those of us for stem cell research) are saying these aren't worthy of the "life" label.

Does that make sense? Since I'm neither against stem cell research or pro-life its hard to articulate their aguement, but I want to understand it because I want to persuade them that stem cell research IS the pro-life position.

What object would it be...a ship, a boat, a raft, a coconut...

This is an honest question, I need some ideas for a painting. Yes, this is a spiritual question and belongs in this catagory because life is a journey and we are all going somewhere. Besides, I very much like the creativity of this group. I've also asked it in another catagory...

The word "globalisation" has been wider and more florished than ever. As the globalisation grows it kills the diversity. So should we embrace the globalisation or encourage the diversity?

It has become increasingly apparent over the years that the theory of evolution is correct. This is almost undeniable when you take into account the fairly recent discovery of the Delta-32 mutation (a genetically dominant white blood cell mutation that grants the subject extreme resistance to HIV, almost to the point of immunity). Delta-32 proves the concept of natural selection to be true. How do Christians reconcile this new discovery and still uphold their beliefs?

PS - This isn't an attack, just an inquiry.

Okay Christians before you jump in here and say YES, No division between Church and State! Think about… What if the Government is voting on an issue that you feel strongly about? I mean it is not always going to be about Gay Marriage, abortion and the like…What if issues come up like removing tax-exempt status for churches or stem cell research. What if it is an issue that affects you and your beliefs that is coming up for a vote and say, it’s not looking good?

Take a look at the vast majority of conflicts in the world. For the most part, they are religiously based. If you look at what is going on in the middle east right now you'll see clearly that this is true.
Heck, look at Northern Ireland, a country with virtually no Blacks or Jews, and the violence there is based on misinterpretations of the SAME bible! Protestants and Catholics are ALL christians!
So why do they say that they promote peace, understanding and forgiveness when the opposite is true?
Personally I cannot imagine belonging to such a hypocritical group.
I'm ever so thankfull that I had the intelligence enough to become an Atheist.

Would you ever vote for an atheist president?

The only thing he is lacking is belief in things that he/she has no evidence of. Other peoples beliefs and books written by people of faith do not count as evidence to an atheist.

Other than that he is as knowledgeable, if not more, than his opponent.
