Santa Claus, was also known as Saint Nicholas, and the story was one akin to Saint Valentine. A generous Christian soul who secretly gave gifts to those in need. We've sure corrupted the memory of that person, as we have of Jesus. Still, some people will, after this fashion, invite Santa in when Jesus is only an explitive when something goes wrong.

I don't think Santa and God are related in any way - because there is no Santa!! Don't cry. If you look up the origin of Santa Claus, all the encyclopedia's refer more to paganism, mythology, folklore, and of course, commercialism.

Santa was a pagan tradition that was going on long before Jesus, the church integrated it with Jesus' birth to try to help the pagans reach him.

What the hell?
I guess that's why Santa lives at the North Pole--God sent him there for punishment cause he didn't want to send family to hell.

LOL
