I'm not an atheist, because I'm not against the idea of god/gods (which is what the word implies), i'm not an agnostic for that same reason.. But I truly loathe the christian ways - offering me salvation, insulting me, quoting the bible and killing debate.. So I suppose I'm an antichristian. Anyone got a better term though?

I'm sorry we treat you that way because that's not how we're supposed to be. Our religion is supposed to be about love and acceptance, not beating you over the head with a Bible. I don't think it's that you loathe christian ways, just the people that twist them into something they're definately not supposed to be. Again, i apologize for whoever made you feel that way. And to answer your question, i would say youre anti-religious. Christianity isn't supposed to be about religion- it's supposed to be about a relationship.

All religions are being used politically by people. All holy books are open to discussion and interpretation.

Governments, Vatican, Jerusalem, the muslim world etc. use these books and interpret them to serve their purpose.

Why do you think the world suffered the 100 year war or the Crusades?

Why is Israel killing children in Lebanon?

Isn't Bin Ladin a shame for the human kind let alone the Muslim world?

Don't all these books say the same thing? That, killing, stealing, hurting etc. is a sin?

There is a huge chaos in the world, crimes committed "for the love of God", people losing hope in the world they live in and questioning everything they believe in.

Shaming God! Making God, his angels, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, Adam, David, Joseph and all God's close friends be ashamed of us for the idiotic shape that all religious practices took.

The reality is that there is one God, creator of everything in all universes, the ultimate power, the one and only, the biggest source of love and that all religions are good, all prophets are God's messengers and all guide people in the right direction.

Your true salvation is your mind and therefore you do not need anything else to come between you and God!

Wow, I counted about 4 damnations to Hell already! Seems like they all showed up to make your point for you!

I am a Christian, and I understand where you're coming from. You can be a Christian without being all those things that you "loathe". How you choose to "be a Christian" is up to you. If you choose to quietly study the Bible and live your life in the ways of Christ without flaunting your Christianity, that's fine. I'm a big believer in leading by example, not by force. Contrary to how it may appear, not all Christians are taught to go out and damn people to Hell if they don't believe in God.

I would not call you anti-christian---I would say that you are frustrated with the lack of challenging conversation with someone who knows what he is talking/writing about. Please try to understand that we are convinced in out views, and that Christianity does not tolerate any infusion of other views with it. Jesus was not tolerant of the liberal viewpoint of his time, and we preachers are taught to be like him. There is nothing wrong with healthy debate, so long as it does not dissolve into a shouting match---nobody wins an argument, and debating spiritual principles is not about who wins or looses, but is about how much both sides learn about each other. I can keep my views and still respect your---you have an inalienable right to express your opinions and to believe what you want---and so do I. It is unfortunate that a great many Christians do not hold the same view that I do with regard to personal beliefs. I do criticize and warn---that is my job as a preacher---I proclaim the word of God, not as I see it, but as the Holy Spirit gives me inspiration to preach and teach it. I council as the Holy Spirit instructs me to council. Jesus loves you and he wants you to serve the kingdom of heaven right now on earth. Seek out tolerant Christians---people of your own age grouping and cultural background and you may be surprised at how open to discussion they are.

i want to know how offering salvation is insulting, every man has sinned and needs salvation. and if a christian has insulted you they are at fault, also making fun of the bible or someone quoting the bible is making fun of gods word.

You don't want to be bothered by Psalm-singing creeps. I wholeheartedly agree. A true Christian shouldn't bug out the way I've seen them do on this site. Enjoy.

You might want to re-examine your definition of agnostic. It is not that we are against the idea of god/gods. It is that we do not believe there is any proof there is a god. And if there is a god, then God is likely to be beyond our comprehension.

You should have added, Religion-Fanatics need not answer, since there seems to be an abundance of those fools whenever such a provocative question is asked.
