I started dating Mexicans in 2004 after studying Spanish for 4 years in high school. Here and there an American would try to hook up with me and I kept thinking about all I was missing out on on the otherside. I would miss speaking Spanish, learning the culture, and knew that if I would marry a white guy it would be harder to become fluent with out making him feel that I spend more time with Spanish than him. I am now happily married to a Mexican where I can speak Spanish or English and we can share cultural experiences. (Don't get the idea that I married him to learn Spanish b/c he is a great guy and I love him) But, does anyone else have a story or opinion that once you go foreign you tend to stray away from your own culture?

I had a guy ask me if I wanted to hook up with him sometime. I said I'd think about it but I have no idea what he is talking about. Does he mean a one night stand? I have heard people say things like: I never dated him but we hooked up at the party last week. I have heard guys say they hooked up with a girl but they wouldn't ever date her. I can't figure it out. All these answers and questions by people that keep saying that they can LIVE THEIR LIVES since they aren't a 'christian jerk' or a 'walking christian rulebook' or something like that......WHY DO YOU THINK THAT!!!!???

Recently I've been learning more and more about religion and thought of something.
Why is it that over 99% of the children born in a certain religion remain in that religion. Why are Jewish children Jewish, Why are Muslim children Muslim.
I was thinking that we may be lost. The answer might be that we don't search. We buy religion too easily and just stick with it. And some of us believe in our religion so much that we are willing to argue for hours on which is right and which is wrong.

The message here is that for some reason, we just pass on, we keep ignoring the little thought we get once in a while on which path is right. I'm not preaching any religion here but I do think that one should at least give it a chance and try to fidn what is correct.

When was the last time you stood outside a convenience stores and bought cigarettes for teenagers?
I was wondering if any schools would be willing to start a program where you get free cigarettes for good grades.
Or also, maybe we could have some signs that say "We DON'T card, under 18 - no problem!"

Other ideas are more than welcome.

Do you have to sing and dance and why do you sing I mean, to whom are you singing to? Also I've seen bands that sing songs,and dance on stage is that like, you worshiping? And are the lyrics like a prayer or something? I don't understand why you have to sing and dance to jesus? What will jesus do?... and before I forget what is with those people that fall when that guy touches then on the head?...do they pass out or are they faking?

If God cares about the people he created, then why did he send them to an eternity of torture in hell just because they didn't believe in the right things about him? Where is the mercy and love in that?
