Im sitting here reading the bible and everywhere I read it seems to me that worship is like spiritual sex. It looks like marriage is the mirror of worship of Jesus and that being with G-d in prayers and worship is like being with your husband but in a spiritual sense...am I right ? Wow....if thats true then I really wouldnt need to be with my bf...I could like really wait for a husband. I know you dont have physical sex with G-d so dont frigging yell at me. OK?

As we all know, rainbows appear when light passes through water, and the water slows down the light, making it appear as the different color spectrums, with the light slowing more the futher it travels through the water. But the bible says that God gave us rainbows as a covenant after Noah's flood (see Genesis 9:8-17). And most Christians act as if this is some special gift to us from God.

But is it possible that, all other physical reactions being the same, God could have NOT created rainbows? Would light somehow pass through water at the same speed it does in air? How could that be? Would this also happen in the ocean, making the whole thing bright as daylight even at the bottom?

I'm not suggesting that God didn't create the earth. I'm just saying that rainbows are clearly not a special gift, but a natural feature that would have been very difficult to prevent. Explain otherwise, and try to be specific. And if you don't understand rainbows, you probably shouldn't bother.

especially when you have been a good person all your life, not a liar, or a cheater, but everything seems to be going against you. Can't find a good man, trying to go to college and working my butt off to do it but finding between rent an car payments college is to expensive. Why is it possible someone could make to much money to get financial aid, but not enough to support themselves while living on their own or with FREAKY roomates. When will anyone get a break in this life. And why do some people have it soooooo easy?

I know the lirics were written by Gus Kahn but little else. It was recorded before WW II. I seem to remember my parents telling me that it was two soldier friends and one had been killed in battle. Today people might think it was too loving to be about a friendship but I think back in those days men could express their deep bonding relationships without fear of being misunderstood.
