Jesus Garcia might have been a Repuglican, but Yeshu ben Yosef? -- not a chance. Dream on, Coultergeist and your mindless minions.

Actually... Jesus would have been liberal (not necessarily Demo, just "liberal"). Jesus was for children, for women, and for forgiveness, and the infinite love of God.
The Republican party, in it's current incarnation, says it's for children, and yet does not fund social programs for them. Same for women. And certainly, they do NOT have an ounce of forgiveness, nor for "turning the other cheek" or "loving your neighbor".
Republicans *are* committing every sin in the book, so to speak. Those pushing for "The sanctity of marriage" have *numerous* divorces! We go to war with anyone who even pisses us off. Their leaders straight-face lie to the public, have combined church and state into something Jesus himself fought against, and have no compassion for the poor or disadvantaged (as Jesus advocated for).
So.. no.. Jesus would not have been a Republican. He's not a share-holder.
On a side note on Kerry: I could deal with 4 dollars a bottle for ketchup; I CAN'T deal with 4 dollars a gallon at the pump.
'Nuff Said.

If I remember my theology from my childhood when I was a christian, didn't Jesus overturn the tables of the moneylenders in the temple and kick them out. He went against a conservative establishment to do so that right there would have made him a radical in their eyes. If you have to label him by today's modern standards then I would suppose Jesus of Nazareth really would be more of a Democrat than a Republican.

the question is not which party would he have been in. It is which party follows closer to his instruction. Neither does as good of job as they should. Some have called him a liberal, even radical and that he would have been more like the Democrats because of that. I wonder why they only refer to him in the past tense. Do they not know that he still lives. Jesus teachings were not radical. Such a description is too simplistic because his purpose was to reconcile us with God. He restores us to what we always should have been. That's pretty conservative. He is more than mere words like radical and conservative can describe.

What Republican ever claimed that a democrat does 'every sin in the Bible'? that's a ridiculous question.

Some dictionaries define Socialism as Christianism which is pretty much the opposite of conservatism or what Republicanism has come to represent in the US system.

If your ever in the Cincinnati area... and you need a Planed Parenthood location.... You can kill two birds with one stone! (no pun intended) There is a Catholic Collage (Collage of Mt. St. Joesph) on the west side of town with its own P/P office right on campus!
Talk about hypocritical!
Oh yea, Fr. Doe is having a two night camp-out for all the boys! Bet your not gonna sign your kid up for that one!

He was not a politician. Matter of fact if he were here today he would say that Democrats, republicans, liberals etc....were all a bunch of sinners in need of a whole lotta prayer and healing.
