EGO is a mental state.
This state is created by self.
In this state the self is in a fantasy world.
In that world Self is leading,
Everything is for Self,
And every order is by Self.
It (fantasy) is there with every one.

But....

When the Self fails to accept the reality that, it is all fantasy,
The Self reflects the same authority and I am first attitude to the outer world too.
That is the reason for ones EGO (Uncontrolled fantasy) others feel about.

To avoid EGO we need to be always aware of the real world and the fantasy too.

Ego. I think it would be odd for a god to create a creature with the possibility to self-subsist and have faith in itself and then force it to rid itself of this quality for the sake of the god's own ego.

And I like this definition from dictionary.com:
The self, especially as distinct from the world and other selves.

I am concerned about my, my husband's and my parents needs first and foremost but I am also concerned about society as well. I volunteer and give both my time and money to help people in need. I just feel I don't need to be a member of an organized religion to do it.

Every live is filled with ego. We are egocentric. We were born so.
But we are here to learn that the ego-centrism do not free our soul. If you understand that, you will continue with the ego, but your life aim will change to a deep meaning.

Humility......I'm trying to replace my egotistical self with humility as I don't know what else to do anymore. I always thought I was humble but someone has convinced me that all I'm doing is thinking of myself. Truthfully if all I was thinking of was myself, I wouldn't be sitting here doing this...........

Anyone who claims humility doesn't have it. I think there's very FEW humble people on earth. . .If i had to guess, less than 50.

Oh, and I'm one of them, so 49 left.
