or how HORRIBLE you are in life...
God will forgive you...

Lucky for the folks who do horrible

This is part of the problem with Christian morality. Some of the most wretched, rotten, heartless people in the world call themselves Christian for this exact reason.

Yeah, "God" can forgive all he wants. If I ever got my hands on that slug I'd kill him slow.

I'm reading some of the other posts to this question in disbelief. What twisted logic some of you Christians have. We're talking about a ruthless child killer, not a cookie thief. What the hell is wrong with you people? Are some Christians really incapable of prioritizing their moral code.

So you think homosexuals will go to "Hell", but a child killer can go to Heaven if he "accepts Christ as his Lord and savior"??? This is so incredibly backasswards.

Maybe it's just me, but I think there's a world of difference between someone who steals a car, and someone who kills a child. One I can forgive. The car thief may have been at low point in life. He can be easily rehabilitated. The child rapist/killer I cannot forgive.

From here on out I'm making damn sure none of you Bible thumpers get anywhere near my children.

If you do, then you are forgiven and you'll reach heaven.

But, being forgiven, does not mean you are free from consequences in this world.
That's why those who sins will reap the consequences in their immediate live.
(going to prison, got STDs, and so on)

If you keep following the wicked ways, then you haven't repent, sir.
If God has the same thinking like yours (that there is no forgiveness in sin) then all of us (including you) will be doomed to hell.

Not necessarily. The sinner must be sorry for the sin to be forgiven and resolve never to do it again If anyone that has committed sin truly repents, they will be forgiven but if you do not repent, you will not be forgiven but it will be held against you in the end and you will go to Hell.

For every person to be forgiven, they have to repent. Repent means to turn away from, so there has to be genuine sorrow for sin, and then a turning away from sin, to a life pleasing to God.

God will forgive them if they ask him to. Most people think that they can make it to heaven on their own...but they can't. They have to admit that they can't get there on their own, and admit that Jesus is the only way. That is trusting Him, and saying that he is powerful enough to do that. Pushy lawyers advocating for the offender can get the Judges to change the sex offender conditions of probation as well, removing bans on child contact, allowing offenders to drink alcohol, own a softball team, and have computers, ect. Currently Judges have far too much leeway and offender’s attorneys use this to give the offender more freedoms that he then uses to act his sexual offences, even while on probation. Taking away judges discretion will allow society to determine the rules rather than the offender’s lawyer.
