The notion that someone's identity as a person should be determined by color is pretty da*n sad, and can only mean they have nothing much going for them to begin with. I'm black with a hint of Injun blood, and that's actually helped me to find MORE of an identity because I discovered myself as an individual without having to confine and restrict myself to a certain group. The same for my mulatto cousin. She's no "tragic mulatto". I am proud of my heritage, but that doesn't mean that my individuality and worth should be determined by my color. That's redundant racist hogwash. If mixed race people experience any problems, it's not their problem-it's society's.

State of Liberty? Mt Rushmore? Gold Gate Bridge? Hollywood sign?...etc. What do you think?

I have noticed on several Q&A's that the majority of the people speak out AGAINST religion. Is this a trend? If you're religious, is this a test? In the bible doesn't the end of the world come when the majority of the people turn their backs on God?
I haven't been to church in years and don't remember how the story goes. If you do believe in a God do you think that the Hurricanes, Global warming, floods, tsunamis etc. are a sign? Think God is closing up shop on us?

I think many of us would enjoy knowing that our dinners wouldn't be spoiled by squalling infants, hyperactive two-year-olds who can't seem to keep their food on their plates or their asses in their seats, or strident shouts of, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, LOOK, Mommy, look at me, Mommy!"

Btw, it's only in the last 15-20 years that folks decided their kids were accessories to be dragged with them to all & every place they went; for decades before that, kids were left at home with baby sitters, and the world was better for it.

A "No Chiildren" area is a nice compromise, don't you think? Isn't it time for a little ...just a LITTLE... peace in public?

There's a man standing on the corner
With a sign sayin "Will work for food"
You know the man
You see him every morning
The one you never give your money to
You can sit there with your window rolled up
Wondering when the lights going to turn green
Never knowing what a couple more bucks
In his pocket might mean

What if he's an angel sent here from Heaven
And he's making certain that you're doing your best
To take the time to help one another
Brother are you going to pass that test
You can go on with your day to day
Trying to forget what you saw in his face
Knowing deep down it could have been his saving grace
What if he's an angel?
*************************************************************

Yes.. It's from the song.. But he makes a good point. I remember my mom giving a bum a few dollars.. And I asked her why she did.. And she replied.. What if he's an angel? No lie..
Will you pass the test?

If the world were 100 people, there would be:

57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from North and South America
8 Africans
52 would be female
48 would be male
70 would be non-white, 30 white
59% of the entire world's wealth would belong to only 6 people
and all 6 would be citizens of the United States!!!
80 would live in substandard housing
70 would be unable to read
50 would suffer from malnutrition
1 would be near death
1 would be near birth
Only 1 would have a college education
99 of them will not see this message, because only 1 would have a computer.

now my question is why dont those 6 Americans divide their whole wealth in all the other 94 citizens of this world????

"For the woman was taken out of Adam (genesis 2:22-23)" Before Eve, was Adam a hermaphrodite? Do hermaphrodites go to Heaven? Are angels androgynous?

He was a damn actor! He was racist, sextist, and a elitist. Just like all the other conservative clones.

I just watched Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, I loved the movie, and it really made me think. So I got to wondering... would people really have a memory of a person (maybe from a bad relationship), a time period, or event erased from their mind? I thought I would at first, but the wise teach us to hold on to all the thoughts and memories of mistakes and circumstances we have, even though they might not have been pleasant. That way, we can use these past experiences in the future, to prevent making further mistakes or getting into things we shouldnt... so what do you think? Would you erase some horrible memory or person from your past to end the pain it might have caused you? And please explain why or why not. THANKS!

I have a t-shirt that says "Music Is My Religion." When I wore it to my family reunion (all my relatives are super conservative southern baptist) one of my aunts told me it was a blasphamy.

My boyfriend has a t-shirt that says "Jesus is F***ing METAL!" Someone stopped us on the street one day and told him he should be ashamed.

What do you think? Are our t-shirts blaspemous or cause for shame? I'm not going to stop wearing my shirt because I love it and I really don't care what my relatives think, and my boyfriend is Athiest so he dosn't care, but I'm curious to know what others think.

t is excepted by many people and believed that intelligent lifeform
perhaps more intelligent than us may exist on other planets,
Suppose if a spaceship crashes on Earth or scientists get any concrete proof of such lifeforms existing (come on if life is here on this planet,There are Billions of Stars in the Universe and many planets can support life,so we all have reasons to believe that & we should all have an open mind),and if they have no knowledge about your Christ will you try to venture to their planets and educate them that Christ is the Saviour?
And is there room for other faiths , other religious beliefs,Scientific and Dynamic thinking Supported by Christian fundamentalist
Or will the Western world if it were to become as powerful like it was in the Colonial times try to convert all the non believers to christianity by using Economic Coercions .
THEY DID THAT DURING THEIR COLONIAL RULE IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES FOR WHICH THERE ARE COUNTLESS RECORDS.

I am a guy struggling right now with the feeling I might be gay or possibly bisexual. I am definitely sexually attracted to girls although there have been guys that I have been sexually attracted to as well. I have been raised all my life in a fundamental protestant home so I cant go to my family for advice because they will not understand. I tried doing things the "biblical" way of pray real hard and god will change you but this is something I have felt for a long time. Is there a website or a support group that I can go to so I can get advice as to whether I am gay or not and support if I am. I cannot go to any of my friends or family because they will ostracize me and I have no one else to turn to for companionship.

Here in UK a vicar has just been thrown out of the church because he gave a little girl a little kiss on the forehead when she got a question right in sunday school..... her mum got upset, complained, the rest is history....
But then 'the church' dithers when some of it's employees are found to have seriously (sexually) assaulted young children....
(A good case for more women in the church?, or do you think women vicars priests etc would be just as perverse?)
