I think many of us would enjoy knowing that our dinners wouldn't be spoiled by squalling infants, hyperactive two-year-olds who can't seem to keep their food on their plates or their asses in their seats, or strident shouts of, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, LOOK, Mommy, look at me, Mommy!"

Btw, it's only in the last 15-20 years that folks decided their kids were accessories to be dragged with them to all & every place they went; for decades before that, kids were left at home with baby sitters, and the world was better for it.

A "No Chiildren" area is a nice compromise, don't you think? Isn't it time for a little ...just a LITTLE... peace in public?

I'm a mother of four (two still under 18) and I would have no problem with a no children's area in every public place. Help - give me an excuse to be able to go out to eat, go grocery shopping, anything by myself. My kids are well-behaved - one episode and I've been known to load em up in the car and go home because I will not tolerate temper trantrums or outburst in public. Still, I'm not so unrealistic that I don't know that for my own sanity I need time away from them.

What a great idea. I have two well behaved children, and if they ever cry or act bad we take them outside. A child free section would work for all those people who don't have any respect for other people and just let their kids act like brats.

What about a retsurant where all the tables are in individual rooms, Kind of like bathroom stalls. Then you don't have to worry about cell phones, children, smokers, loud talkers, or people making out at the table.

You probably have no kids. One of the recently (last decade) improvements to restaurants are that the kids can came with the parents to the restaurants. Is similar to say why are the elderly peoples still driving a car.
If you are annoyed by the presence of the kids I will recommended to go to a Pub.

I’d like to see all public places have a N.W.S. rule -No Whining Section- whining/ complaintive adult or child not allowed.

i know that it's up to the Mangers and their staffs to do their jobs so that no one in a restaurant would ever feel or experience a need to whine.
its their jobs to ask the whiner to leave or help resolve the issue so that others are not disturbed.
But hey, then again we'd all like to live in a perfectly spelled out world too.

That's an excellent idea...
or they could just leave them at home with a sitter and have a well-deserved quiet dinner alone together.

Another equally annoying habit people seem to have aquired in recent years is bringing their pets along on their visits to friend's homes. Even better when you don't have any pets of your own, and their pet then does "their business" in YOUR yard and they leave it there...just for you...
like a nice little warm smelly gift....arrghhh!

Definetly no children in movie theatres, unless kids movie.
Other idea:
- No large amounts of food and drinks in theatres. Is gross sitting next to those fat asses americans that look and eat like pigs.

I would love a no children section. I'd love no children day at the grocery store and movie theatre as well. That would be awesome.
