Why would Jesus say he is the Son of Man, but then just a brief moment later proof he has the power of God, by healing a man's ear with only touch, after the ear was cut off.

Also, this is what the Bible says, that Jesus said he is the Son of Man, how many good Christians are going to tell me, no thats not what Jesus said. Want me to lie and say Im a Christian, just to make you feel good about making fun of stupidity

For those of u that are still pissed at me because of my last question, let me just say that i've been reading the Old Testament and the Bible in general for years. But do u think the Old Testament is based on culture and on the time rather than anything else? And if it is does the whole, being gay is an abomination thing still apply?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I believe that there has to be a higher power at work, but I haven't been able to prove to myself that this is actually the case. Do any of you have good arguments, either for or against? Could there be multiple gods? Or are we a cosmic accident?

someone waiting outside yelling really mean and cruel things to her everyday of every week in any town of the US. Someone told me pro-lifers can be very mean like this. This is like at planned parenthood or some facility offering these services.

Last week, I was at the mall. I was looking for a new bathing suit. I went into the GAP, and was looking at some. This lady next to me-- she was probably around 30, I don't know, was looking at them, too. She was on her cell phone discussing the bathing suits with her friend-- some female. She was looking for a bathing suit for her husband, apparently. She picked out this purple, Hawaiian print (flowers), one and said to her friend "I don't know if he would like this-- it's kind of gay looking, I don't know.."
She then looked at me and said "Is this bathing suit gay?" I thought that was a funny word choice for a grown woman. I responded "Yeah, a little bit..". She told her friend "Yeah, this guy next to me thinks it's gay!".
She then asked me if 15 other bathing suits were "gay".
I was so close to saying "You know, I am gay. People can be gay. Bathing suits can't be gay.", just to see her reaction.
I'm not gay, but what she was saying bothered me.

Does anyone kind of agree?

Why is it ok for the christian faith to push beliefs on me? Why are their beliefs better than mine? Last, why is it ok that yahoo questions me and not them while they are the persecuters? Ok, I'm bisexual. I don't say it much so it still shocks me a little to say it outloud. I've know for years and I'm sure and have thought about it a lot (prob'ly too much thinking), but that's where the question comes in. How do I get into the GLBTQ world? I'm so shy.

I have a really good girl friend that is bi too but she lives far away right now. My only gay friend freaked out when I told him I was bisexual and we don't talk anymore. There is a too straight for lesbians/gays and too gay for the straight people thing bisexuals have to deal with. That's scary too when trying to get into the world. And I've always done the "don't ask, don't tell" thing. I'm very feminine but with short hair so people never guess I'm bi, they think straight or lesbian I guess. What do you do? I don't want to deny this side of me any longer. I've tried to think of what to do but don't know. I'm a young adult but older then the people that go to GLBTQ youth groups and I can't just go to some bar alone.

I told him why i dont believe in god, why gave him quite a few good reasons. I then asked him that hypotheticaly speaking, would i go to heaven, and he told me that even after death, when we are being judged, we still , even then have the change to accept god in our hearts. So im figuring, I lead a very good life, Im a good person generaly, and if i see god, I have no reason not to accept him in my heart.

Do you support, or are you against what the priest said.

Must you accept god during your lifetime, or is there time after you are dead and being judged. (Dont try and convert me, I am not going to be changed by comments of the likes of "Accept the lord, you will see clearer", "Faith is all you need", etc.) Please try and stay on topic.

Christians need to keep their own paganism beliefs to theirselves and in their churches.

I am in the process of litigation with a public school that has a portrait of the pagan Jesus on the school wall. Yesterday the school was forced to remove a cross the had up and they left jesus but my attorney said ti should be down in a couple of weeks.

I just dont think its safe to teach kids these beliefs and keep kids beliefs in facts and science. Its unhealthy to tell kids that we were created by a spirit and there are people with wings in heavan and rivers of honey.
This earth has been around for many millions of years and christians are telling kids that its only been 6000 years. I know fairy tales are healthy for kids but for christians to push paganism on them will only hurt their growth and corrupt their minds
Im not against christians but please stop pushing your paganism beliefs on us.
