...do you have any religious friends that despite your telling them directly, or in some form, that you are an atheist (or other) they always seem to forget? And like me how likely are you to not even say anything if something negative is said of non believers?

Generally it may not matter much, except when the subject is religion or they happen to mention the "atheist" term negatively, forgetting that you are one. Friends of mine just don't ever seem to remember, I think most people just assume we all believe what they believe. I think "atheists" are these imaginary "other" people to them that they don't even associate any kind of real person with.

The community of Israel was commanded to not oppress aliens:
Exodus 23:9 "Do not oppress an alien; you yourselves know how it feels to be aliens, because you were aliens in Egypt."

"Sh'mo" is what I hear people saying during the conservative movement's daily service, though I'm sure it's said in other movements. It seems to be used like someone might use to affirm something, but I'm just not sure, and I can't find it written out in the siddur.

"B'rikh hu" is how the other words are written in my siddur.

Paul declares that Christ did not send him to baptise...and Jesus commisioned His disciples to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit ( Matt 28:19.) Does Paul contradict Christ?

Tell me your thoughts.
