if god is not real it doesnt matter because there is no heaven or hell. but if he is real, why is so important to believe in him? isnt it more important to do good things. most atheists are good people and if we are wrong and god is real and we go to hell just for not believing then god would be really conceited or something. honestly if someone works for a good cause there entire life can they go to hell just for not beleivng?

I mean, how do you express the date? I'm not a native speaker of English, and I've learnt that Americans would write: "July 5th., 2006" and they'd read: "July the fifth, two thousand six", while in England, they'd write: "5th. July, 2006" and say: "the fifth of July, two thousand and six". But if they added the weekday, both would write "Wednesday 5th. July" and read "Wednesday the fifth of July, two thousand (and) six".

So, is that true? Do you ACTUALLY say it that way? And what do people do in other English speaking countries?

Does God (or God thru Jesus) ever actually say to respect others religions? (if so could you please give me chapter + verse). I know it says to respect others but Jesus fought for our faith so shouldnt we? (by fight i dont mean physical harm) I know God will help those to him when they need it and are just stumbling but do you think we as christians are allowed to help that along? after all were supposed to love our brother and since were all gods children (no matter how far some have strayed) then were all brothers (and sisters:) so if we love our brother wouldnt we want him to turn to christ everlasting even if this means troding on the respect of his beliefs a little? (ie bringing prayer back to schools, Banning gay marriage, Raising our voices in politics more, etc) im not talking about overthrowing freewill here just using OUR freewill to make our voices heard louder then theirs and hopefully with gentle persuasion have them find Christ for themselves.

The Bible says for us to be righteous in all that we do. But there is a verse that says no one is righteous. Are we to be righteous or is that just impossible?

Dont they know that God doesnt care if they show their face or whatever. He just cares that you know that Jesus died on the cross for the forgivness of our sins and he was risen and , ect. Or is it more of a culture thing for them, because I have seen them at Six flags wearing those things covering their whole body and they looked really hot. I dont see the men having to wear anything or cover themselves.

It seems like nowdays no one cares about others...Things used to not be like that...We used to do anything for anyone...Now there is 10 times the murders, rapes, and adultery...I think all of it needs to stop and go back to how life was in the '70s when all the tree hugging peace hippies took over...Those were the good days...

I sent a letter apologizing for something that happened 15 yrs ago...yes he would remember what happened...it had to of affected his life profoundly. When I see him in public, I can tell he wants to speak to me but he is afraid to. I sent him a letter via his brother because I don't want to cause him problems at home, but I forgot to give him my contact info. Should I send my cell number via his brother in case he wants to talk to me, or should I just leave it alone?

Hello all! The man that I'm promised to, and who I will be getting engaged to in the next few years mentioned to me something he'd heard of from one of his friends. He is a Catholic, and I of course, am Pagan. What he mentioned is that we'd get a Priest from his faith, and a high priest or priestess or both, from mine, and have them perform the ceremony together. I was wondering if any of y'all had heard of this? Also, because of the way that I practice, and how eclectic I am, there are very few covens to encompass my beliefs, so, I have always been a solitary witch. I wouldn't even know where to start to find a high priest or priestess. Please help me if you can! P.S. We are having an outdoor wedding.

Matt. 24:24: “False Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs [“miracles,” TEV] and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.”
Matt. 7:15-23: “Be on the watch for the false prophets . . . Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works [“miracles,” JB, NE, TEV] in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.”
These things:Tongues Prophecy and healings are to be,
as 1Cor.13:8-10 says: 8. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with. 9 For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially; 10 but when that which is complete arrives, that which is partial will be done away with.

Basically in a nutshell... is the belief that Christ has already come a second time. All the websites I have found are very complex, and all I have managed to discover, is that the Bible does say that not a generation would pass before the second coming, and not all of the apostles would die before the second coming. Are there any more things like this?

Anyways, the predorist (from what I have found) thinks Christ came again once. To destroy Jerusalem.

But THE coming has yet to happen.

What are the views supporting this theory, and have I missed any points on this?

Romans 11: 26 - 27 -
The nation of Israel clearly rejected Jesus as their Messiah ( Rom 9-10, John 1: 10-11 )
And the Bible says that the promises of Abraham go to his spiritual seed, not his descendants according to the flesh ( Rom 4: Gal:3 ).
Why then does Romans 11 speak of the future for the nation of Israel?

I know of Islam and Mormonism. Any others?

Please don't bother listing Christianity, because it was preditcted by the prophets long before Jesus Christ was born.
