Sure, to some dumb, insecure people, religion may make them feel better about themselves but if you take the wider picture, with so many different religions, it just causes conflict and war.

I know its a commandment to honor your father and mother, and i dont have a problem with the mother part, but i do with the father part. 25 years ago, my father walked out on me, my mom, and my sister when i was five years old. He also did it again to his new family in Texas and left a wife and two young kids. He also recently got in a fist fight at a bar where he beat a man to death (he actually died). So how am i supposed to honor a person like that. In my own opinoin, there is a special place in hell waiting for him

I have an infant whose bedroom is on the side of the house next to these neighbors. The neighbors child is 12 yrs old and screams while in the pool. He wakes up my infant napping during the day. These neighbors are not the kind of people who would easily cooperate, therefore how do I tell them to have them quite their child without starting a war?

I know for me I pick and choose u can usually tell by the persons name of the question who is really asking something or who wants to spout off or debate as am still relatively new to this was wondering how others answered? Why is the average, middle class American growing increasingly apathetic and unconcerned with culture and his/her fellow human being? I see kids running around, pushing adults out of the way, telling their mothers to shut up, and it's unbelievable.
I'm not saying ALL Americans are like this, so please give only constructive answers.

Hebrews 9:22 says that "without the shedding of Blood, there is no forgiveness." In the Old Testament, a sacrifice of an unblemished lamb was required to satisfy God's wrath. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross and became the ultimate sacrifice for sin. Jesus bought our forgiveness when he died on the cross.

However as He rose again from the dead HE WAS NOT SACRIFISED. Surely it would be a better religion if Jesus did not rise again and therefore was actually sacrificed. If you sacrifice you life but a couple of days later come back to life you sacrifice NOTHING.

What was sacrificed by Jesus, and has this removed the effects of original sin?
