Someone once told me Christians aren't supposed to be stressed. But I am! So much so that I can barely focus to pray. Ever happened to you?

God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them

Whoever told you that Christians aren't supposed to be stressed is deluding themselves. Everyone, including Christians get stressed at times. We all face "trials and tribulations"

It will be okay! When it becomes that bad and I'm trying to pray, I just say, "Jesus help me" amazingly it does calm me and focus me. Also, I pray for the peace that passes all understanding and calm my breathing.

It will be okay and God loves you. And Yes I have been in those shoes more times than I can count. But God still loves me and knows what is going on in my heart and spiritual walk. Even if you can't say the right words for prayer, that's okay. God knows your intentions of the heart.

Blessings to you.

I have been like that plenty of times. We are human and we will get stressed every once in a while. Just ask God to give you the words to pray, you would be surprised at what God gives you, these are the best times to pray. If he puts someone on your mind, pray for them. I believe you'll know what to do. God Bless!!1

It is happening to me a lot! I don't know (of course!) who told you that Christians aren't supposed to be stressed. They are wrong! The devil hates the fact that people turn to God - so, of course, he is gonna give you a hard time! I try to pray and can't find the words to tell God what's on my mind. I take a deep breath in, hold it a sec and let it out! On the exhale, I kinda feel cleansed and give everything to Him. I tell Him when I'm happy. I tell him when I'm sad. I am even able to tell Him that I'm ticked off at Him!

Whoever told you that Christians aren't supposed to be stressed was wrong. This happens to me often. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we cannot find the words. Romans 8:26 "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express."

Your comment just brought a song to mind that maybe you should hear...

Jesus Take The Wheel ~Carrie Underwood
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It would been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way to fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on

Oh, Jesus take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me
Oh, why, oh

Yes I have it can happen to any of us especially in these turbulent times, yet I will say to you do not be dismayed, remember that God is your maker he made us all and he knows all our fears and feelings and what you need even before you ask!so do not be stressed about your way of putting the words to him,he does understand them even our jumbled thoughts, so just don't stop communicating to and with him and he will bless with what you need as a loving Father! As he knows your needs better than you yourself do!Christians too do get stressed as these turbulent times affect us all including Christians.I don't believe the statement that Christians aren't supposed to be stressed, no-one is supposed to be stressed, and Christians too live in a stressed society in turbulent times so we are all stressed!I hope that helps. Please email me if you need to talk to someone!Anytime! just remember I am not always on-line so if you don't get an answer straight away it doesn't mean you won't!

People forget, I think, that being human is stressful, regardless of religious preference. We live in such a stressed world, it's a miracle we can pray sometimes. I've heard that God knows what we pray for before we even know ourselves. How wonderful is that, huh? Makes my life easier!

Yes and thats why Jesus told us not to worrie for what we eat or drink or wear , if he takes care of the birds will he not take care of us? I have been in the same situation too many times , but if i see i just cant pray i just start to praise God sing a song about him or hum one and this calmness comes over me and suddenly i remember what it was i wanted to pray for, May God Bless you and Keep You, ty.

When I was a little kid I was so terrified I was going to hell because everytime I'd try to pray I couldn't concentrate on what to pray for. Also, I kept having this thought in the back of my mind that God wasn't real.
