Hebrews 9:22 says that "without the shedding of Blood, there is no forgiveness." In the Old Testament, a sacrifice of an unblemished lamb was required to satisfy God's wrath. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross and became the ultimate sacrifice for sin. Jesus bought our forgiveness when he died on the cross.

However as He rose again from the dead HE WAS NOT SACRIFISED. Surely it would be a better religion if Jesus did not rise again and therefore was actually sacrificed. If you sacrifice you life but a couple of days later come back to life you sacrifice NOTHING.

What was sacrificed by Jesus, and has this removed the effects of original sin?

Well, to restate it slightly for purposes of clarification, in the Hebrew Scriptures, an unblemished lamb was sacrificed in accord with what God says at Leviticus 17:11: it is the blood that makes atonement (not God's wrath – but atonement). That is why Paul said what he did as you quoted. So all those animal sacrifices - which were not sufficient to bring lasting atonement (inasmuch as animals are inferior to man) – pointed to the one sacrifice that would balance the scales of justice. Yes he rose again from the dead but this does not mean he was not sacrificed. In order to understand the ransom, you must understand what was owed. Adam was a perfect human person – no more and no less. Adam was not an animal, Adam was not half God and half man, Adam was not half angel and half man. To understand the payment, one must understand the debt. To balance the scales, a perfect human person had to be sacrificed. That is what Jesus was on earth: a perfect human person. That is why the scriptures call him the last Adam. He existed in the heavens as a spirit creature before being born as a human. He sacrificed his perfect human life. This is the key: he did not sacrifice his right to ever live again. He sacrificed his perfect human life. Therefore, he was resurrected as a spirit creature and returned to heavenly life. Now, IF he returned as a human again, THAT would invalidate his sacrifice. But as it is, he did not sacrifice his right to live – he sacrificed his life as a perfect human man.

My dear.
In the Old Testament, when a person is crucified the person dies because loses his blood, and JESUS has done the same, but He rose up again from the died by the power of his father. (Ephesians. 19:19-23). So he was sacrificed for our sin.

The blood was the price.Christ was the word of God born in human form.Gods word is everlasting and can not die.
What was purchased was life. This world is not what we were created for. This is a curse.By disobedience we had to be destroyed,God did not want to destroy us so he did it round about.Still all men die once then to judgment. After that is either life or death.

Jesus was executed, not sacrificed and it had no effect on original sin as there is no such thing.
