You have to be honest on this one!!

Really, how many people have read the Bible and completed it ~ I mean from cover to cover? On average how long does it take to read the entire Bible?

I mean all the way from Genesis to Revelation, word for word, line by line, verse by verse, chapter by chapter and book by book - all the way to the end .

I'm reading lots of answers here from professing Christians who don't believe the Creation story; that God created the universe, this world, and everything in it in 6 days, 6,000 years ago. But this is the basis for the Christian belief.

Science tells us that the world is billions of years old. That dinosaurs lived here millions of years ago. If that is true, than there's been millions of years of pain, suffering, and death as these dinosaurs killed and ate each other. But as Bible believing Christians, we believe that pain, suffering and death came about as a result of Adam's sin. Prior to sin, everything was good. After sin, the whole universe was cursed.

If you're a Bible believing Christian, do you believe Adam's sin brought pain, suffering and death into the world, or are you going to believe the world that says there were millions of years of dead bones before Adam?

I very much respect those who wish to be skeptical of scripture and ask how Christians deal with contradictions in the Bible. But I would hope for a little respect in that you recognize that Christianity is not ignorant of these claims of contradictions. I would hope that those of you who write those questions would at least phrase them in a sense of recognition that we have an answer, though you may not like it, to all the contradictions that can be offered. I'm not saying stop questioning, but make it more of a curious question rather than one that speaks implicitly as if you have finally 'caught us.' For a couple thousand years we have heard all of those which you can offer. Christians will be happy to offer an explanation, but it doesn't foster discussion if one just asserts it rudely. What's your thoughts?

So, basically, the story goes that Satan got too proud and decided to wage war against God to take the throne. Stories are all in the apocrypha and hints of it are littered in the old testament. But, it's weird, because you know how God sorta made like, everything? Well, that would incude Satan and his following rebel angels. And angels have no free will. It is commonly accepted they are entities designed and programmed to praise and serve the holy man himself. So, this means God created satan to rebel? It would have to, wouldn't it? This means that, since God created and satan, and created satan to rebel, and since satan was sent to earth and waged eteranl war on man by creating sin, that God, in effect, created sin. and evil and blah blah blah... What's the deal?

Before answering; bear in mind that;- All those who are in the heavens and the earth, are going to be presented before Him as servants, for He has encircled them and kept a strict account of them; everyone shall be presented before Him individually on the Day of Resurrection.

The Bible has a scientific test how to identify a true believer. It is mentioned in the Gospel of Mark, Ch. No.16, Verse No.17 and 18 - It says that… ‘There will be signs for true believers and among the signs - In my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak foreign tongues, new tongues, they shall take up serpents - And if they drink deadly poison, they shall not be harmed - And when they place their hand over the sick, they shall be cured.’ This is a scientific test - In scientific terminology, called CONFIRMATORY TEST’ FOR A TRUE CHRISTIAN BELIEVER.The scientific terminology, is called as the ‘falsification test‘ That means if a false person tries and does this test… takes poison, he will die.And a FALSE PERSON will not dare attempt this test - If you are not a true Christian believer, you will not dare attempt this test. Because you try and attempt the falsification test, you will fail. So a person who is not a true Christian believer, will never attempt this test.

I was reading a question if Islam was the only right religion and people were answering those type of questions religiously as if they could convince the questioner or to convert the whole world as Muslims.

Islam might be the right religion before 9/11 but Osama and company has changed the face of Islam. West call them terrorists but they and their followers call themselves true Muslims.

If you see the video of Nickberg's beheading, even if he wasn't innocent, nobody would like to convert into the religion of terror.

People should see the video of some Nepali civilians that is widely available on the web. It is more graphic than Nick's.

9/11's vitims don't have the videos of dying but what was their fault? The only fault seems to be the at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Is this Islamic way of killing innocent people? Or Jihad means to kill people who are weak and who have no arms and who want to earn some money for their families? Are they really true muslims?

I am surprised with the sarcastic respond I received. The reason I asked this question was because there are some so called christians that dislike the Jews, they believe that the church has replaced the Jews as God's chosen people because they had turned from God.

However I posted the question to see if others knew that it is not true, God will never replace the Jews. I was surprised with the aggressive response I received, even from supposed christians and supposed intellects. It is amazing how people read questions and respond with the first crap that comes to mind. Please read then think before responding. There is no need for aggression with a question that is talking about loving God's chosen people.

In other words, men and their gods have messed up the world badly. There's told ancient stories of a great matriach, one of peace and love..the time of the Great Mother, the Goddess. Anthropologists have found many statues, remnants of Her. Isn't time for us to return to Her ways of peace and love instead of war, hate, and destruction of our planet?
