Do we die and cease to exist? Do we go to heaven or hell? Or is death our next stage of evolution?

Well for one, death is not known by the simple minded. Death is only a word saying 'one has casted his flesh aside.' Do you think we are these bodies we wear? So to answer your question (and it is not about believing or not) -- We keep living. For life will always go on. Cheers!

When people die. Their bodies rot except the bones (if burried ). The soul exists and leaves the earth. It rises higher and higher in the space ( the religious people call it heaven) because they are happy to put down all the burden and relax forever. However , there are a few whose souls still stay in the atmosphere which is near the earth surface ,that is what the religious people call " hell". These souls can't rise up to heaven because they are either naughty or bad or too worry about their relatives or friends or still in love with the earth. They die unease. So these are called ghost. And that is why there are some good ghosts which won't harm human beings while some bad ghosts will do tricks to frighten others. Therefore they need the priest or monks to read bibles (or any religious poems) to comfort them and make them ease and leave the earth and rise to heaven . I am not a religious person. But I do strongly believe it is true that people either go to heaven or hell. Otherwise no one wants to behave propertly and they won't control themselves not to do bad things. Therefore even the bad people afraid of it. We can see so many of them (I mean those who make their money in special ways) donate money to offset their shortcomings and in the hope that it would bring good luck to their offspring and when they die they can get a good place in the heaven and not in the hell .Or at least they wish they can have a good death. That is die quick without any pain.

Here's what I believe (you asked)...

We do die and cease to exist as we know it now......going to heaven or hell is dependent upon what choice we made about Christ......and if death is our / your next stage of evolution then where did we / you begin? Surely this life can't be the beginning of our existence, can it, i mean, if we are just recycled through time it could be but shouldn't there be some sort of memory overlap?

damn, there are two thousand answers to this question.. I sometimes think I'm livin 'hell' right here on earth (and can't wit to get the **** outta here.) I go into a 'heaven' stage when I fall in love/lust for a fellah.. that's pure wonderful. My friend's into thinking we're 'in two different dimension's at once (but that's/she's too weirded out for me.) I wonder tho if we're all souls floating around, being reincarnated and all (I kinda like the reincarnation thing) how the hell many souls ARE there floating around up thre, man? I kind of NEED IT.. to pray, believe it's 'floating into somebody's ears' and the like, cause my life sux so bad otherwise!..lol. I sometimes have this (total bullshit) feeling I've done stuff before in a different bod tho. I always totally loathed walking in hot sand since I was a mere sprout.. (so I was an Egyptian slave, whipped to death?!) hell, I don't know.. it's kool to think so tho. I like to think all the evil assholes that monkeyed with ME are going to total hell .. that's kool.

I have read the Bible completely through many times, and I have never seen where is says that we go to heaven or hell the moment we die.

The Bible teaches that the body rots to dust in the grave until the day that you are resurrected by Jesus. The first resurrection is for the righteous who will be taken to heaven, and the second resurrection is for those who will burn in hell until they become ashes.

Jesus himself described death as a "sleep".

Study your Bibles, don't just skim through it or believe the lies of others.

When we die we go to a place of rest. We neither go to heaven and hell rightaway. Heaven and hell is decided after you face judgement. On the day of judgement all the dead will rise and stand before God in judgement. If there name is not found in the Lamb's book of life, then they will be cast into hell for an eternity of torment.

We go to heaven, or hell - depending on our relationship with Christ.

Or specifically, our soul goes to heaven/hell; and our body doesn't.

the body rots..it dies naturally..the spirit goes on..it goes to either heaven or hell..depends if you really received Jesus Christ as your Saviour..

Death is part of life..But Christ conquered over death when He died on the Cross for our sins..this is His gift..We just have to accept this gift..cause if you don't..who knows..

This question does not matter because no one really knows so why worry about something you have no control over. Focus on the present and how to live each day righteously and then you will be at peace when its your time to go.

I believe I will live eternal Life in Heaven, Because I believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Others do not believe this and I respect their right to believe what they believe.
